Proceeds support scholarships for future health care professionals, continuing The Upstate Foundation’s 50-year commitment to education and opportunity.
Spinal Chords took the stage as the headlining act at the second annual Upstate Foundation White Coat Rock concert at Funk 'n Waffles Syracuse, delivering an unforgettable night of music in support of student scholarships. Sponsored by CSX, this year’s event raised funds to benefit scholarships for students in the Upstate Medical University College of Health Professions and the Upstate Medical University College of Health Professions. As the Upstate Foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary, the evening reflected its ongoing commitment to advancing education and opportunity for future health care professionals. Band members included Jian Li (MS4), Dr. Michael Vertino ’95, Thomas Avallone (MS1), Alessandra Barlas (MS1), Shaun Sergott (neurology), Olivia Laniak (MS4), Anthony Djoko (MS1), Humza Khan (MS4), Noel Manalil (MS1) and Dr. Lawrence Chin, dean of the Norton College of Medicine.
