Meet Lynn, a registered nurse in our pediatric GI clinic and a member of the Upstate Organ Donor Council. Organ donation is deeply personal to her—her husband received a double lung transplant on 2/13/25, and their family is forever grateful to his donor and their loved ones for this incredible gift of life.

Amazing Gillian! We thank you for your dedication!

Marcellus student Gillian Ireland is taking the pediatric health care world by storm—and she’s doing it with purpose, initiative, and heart. Gillian has been incredibly dedicated to connecting with professionals in the field and seeking out meaningful shadowing experiences while still in high school.

Most recently, Gillian had the opportunity to shadow in a surgical suite with Dr. T. Ahmed, gaining rare firsthand exposure to the clinical environment and the teamwork involved in pediatric care. Experiences like this have only continued to fuel her passion and commitment to the field.

What makes Gillian stand out even more is her mindset. She’s already thinking about how she can positively impact her community now, long before she becomes a practicing provider. That sense of service and curiosity is exactly what the health care field needs.

We can’t wait to see where this journey takes her—this is just the beginning. 💚🖤
