Syracuse DAV Volunteer Transportation Network Comprised of volunteers, driving donated vans, dedicated to providing free transportation to Vets wishing to reach their VA approved medical appointments

In 2017, the transported approximately 2000 Veterans each month over the 14 covered counties; traveling close to 700,000 miles and accumulating over 40,000 volunteer hours ensuring the Veterans receive their needed medical care.

General information

Coordinators in Binghamton, Norwich, Ithaca, Cortland, Syracuse, Auburn, Oswego, Rome, Utica, Lowville, Watertown, Massena, Ogdensburg, and Potsdam are looking for volunteers that willing to sacrifice some time to give back to those that served. The requirements to drive are: - Pass a simple physical - Have a valid driver's license - Willing to go through a background check with DHS - No DWI/DUI in the past 73 months

Volunteer Drivers Needed

We need your help to transport Veterans to their VA medical appointments. The DAV Transportation Network has immediate openings for Drivers in the Southern Tier, Central NY, and Northern NY.

Days: Driver’s discretion.

Hours: Very flexible.

Area: 14 counties served by the Syracuse VA Medical Center and all VA approved appointments.
