eliseo is growing! As we are moving forward with our expansion plans, we have started to firm up some of the details about what our new spaces will look like. Part of that process is these "inspiration boxes" that have items and swatches with different textures, colors, or feelings that we are considering for a particular space.

A little over a week ago, we came together as a team to represent eliseo, our staff, and residents at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Being a part of the walk as well as sponsoring the event was a fantastic reminder of how powerful we can be when coming together for a cause that matters.

The weather tried to deter people, but Tacoma and Pierce County really showed up to create an unbelievable event that will contribute towards helping a lot of people.

We have another LARGE Helping Hands sale this Friday and Saturday from 10am until 4pm each day. There will be furniture, household items, linens, artwork, small appliances, wood cabinets, full sized appliances and fixtures all for sale at amazing prices. Let your friends and family know and arrive early to have the best selection!

All of the proceeds go to Helping Hands to provide funds for residents and resident needs across campus. A great deal for a great cause!

Today, thanks to the help of Pierce Conservation District, Thrivent, our residents and employees, we planted well over 600 plants in our detention pond. The new, local plants will bring pollinators and song birds to the area in addition to increasing the water quality flowing into the Puget Sound. The phrase "many hands make light work" definitely rang true today. We cannot wait to see how these plants grow and develop over the years to make our campus an even more beautiful place!

Thanks to our partner Consonus Healthcare and their "New Chapters" program, two of our residents - who met at eliseo and later married - were able to enjoy a special day at the Washington State Fair together.

They spent the afternoon hand-in-hand, visiting the animals 🐴, trying all of the classic fair foods 🍗🍧🍭, and soaking up every moment of the experience as a couple. 💕

Life at eliseo is full of opportunities to create new memories, share experiences, and celebrate the joy of being together.

The "More Than A Quilt Show" presented by our Common Threads group is an incredible display of the talent that our residents have. If you have antiquated ideas of what a quilt and fiber arts pieces can be from your childhood, you will want to stop by and see what some of our residents have created. There are so many incredible pieces! Based on the turnout, it looks like this might become an annual occurrence.

Knitting & Crocheting

Embroidery

Weaving & Garment Sewing

Whether you’re an artist, a crafter, or simply an appreciator of handmade beauty, this is the perfect opportunity to see the talent of our local creative community up close. Admission is free, and all are welcome! The event goes from 10am to 4pm and will be in the Multi-Purpose Room. Look for the signs once you get on campus!
