Big ideas are taking root 🌿

After the overwhelmingly positive response to our first urban habitat project, we're moving ahead with two more. Layouts are finalized. Native plants are selected. Plans are in motion!

It's exciting to see resident's enthusiasm turn into tangible progress that will enhance our campus for years to come. Of course, we could not have done this without the support and guidance of Conservation District

Last week, our very own Chef Dennis hosted a special dinner for residents who won this experience at our annual Foundation gala. The delicious menu even had a little tableside flambé flair.

At eliseo, exceptional food is never an afterthought. We take great pride in serving meals that are thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and genuinely enjoyed by our residents. Come taste the difference!

If moving into eliseo came with a user's manual, Dawna would have already read it. Twice.

She is our behind-the-scenes reason so many residents say their transition felt smooth, supported, and even enjoyable. Dawna handles the logistics, the questions, and the unexpected - all with patience, expertise, and a great sense of humor.

Last Friday we celebrated the success of our new Urban Habitat with a presentation from our Helping Hands group on campus as well as Conservation District 🌿🌿🌿

This project helped transform a detention pond into a healthier ecosystem that supports wildlife, improves water quality, and creates a more welcoming space for our community and neighborhood to enjoy.

We're grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life and excited to build on this momentum as we begin planning similar habitat projects for our remaining two detention ponds. Stay tuned!!!

Just because the plants have been put in the ground at our new urban habitat doesn't mean that the work is done! We had a great group of residents out in the sunshine this afternoon adding some bark to help our new additions thrive as they are establishing their roots. We can't wait to see how they continue to develop and what the future holds for the pond and any future inhabitants that will call it home!

A huge THANK YOU goes out to all of the residents, staff, and visitors who donated to this year's Mitten Tree! Donations included gloves, hats, scarves, socks, and earmuffs - many of which were handmade by our incredible residents. These are now headed off to Tacoma Rescue Mission to get them in the hands of the people who need them most.

We were thrilled to have Speaker of the House, Speaker Laurie Jinkins on campus today. She talked with residents about the upcoming session, types of bills they were currently looking at, explained how things actually work in Olympia, and answered any questions that people had. It was an interesting and insightful talk. We look forward to welcoming her back at some point in the future.

As 2025 is coming to a close, it is nice to pause and reflect on all of the great times that made this year so special.

We explored places new and old throughout the state with friends and neighbors.

We reopened the pool and build an urban wildlife habitat.

We supported staff with backpack and school supply donations.

We celebrated the 100% occupancy of our Cascade Apartments.

We recognized and partied with our nonagenarians (90+ years old).

We participated in causes near and dear to our hearts.

We learned about the amazing skillsets of our talented residents and got to see their talents up close and personal.

And so much more!

We hope that your 2025 was just as incredible. Now we turn our attention to 2026 and all of the promise and potential that it holds. The momentum doesn't stop here - we are just getting started!

We had an absolute blast with The Multicultural Child And Family Hope Center on campus earlier this week! They brought joy, laughter, and uplifting energy to campus that still has us smiling 😀

Thanks for sharing your talent and heart with our residents. It was a perfect addition to our holiday week of festivities.
