1. Our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive
Dear Patients,
As we approach the season of giving thanks, we’re pleased to announce that once again we are launching our annual “Celebration of Life Thanksgiving Food Drive” continuing a tradition of over 25 years here at Stemp Family Chiropractic of reaching out to support our community and neighbors in need.
By donating six (6) non-perishable food items at our office, you become part of this legacy of care, and as a way of saying thanks, you’ll receive a complimentary spinal consultation, examination, and X-rays (if clinically indicated).
We believe that giving includes not only food to those who may go without, but also giving back to those who entrust us with their health.
How it works:
• Call the office at (253)474-4226, Mention you’d like the “Food Drive Special” and schedule your complimentary chiropractic consult/exam/X-rays.
• Bring in six non-perishable food items (canned goods, boxed meals, etc.),
• Drop them off at our front-desk when you arrive for your appointment.
We encourage you to invite family members, friends or neighbors who may benefit. Let’s make this year’s drive the strongest yet. Thank you for your generosity—because of you, our community is stronger.

2. Winter Health Tip: Stay Active, Stay Strong
As the weather turns colder and the days get shorter, it’s easy to fall into a pattern of hibernation with less movement, more indoor time, and fewer outdoor activities. But research shows that loss of muscle mass (sarcopenia) is now one of the leading predictors of early mortality. Therefore, even when it’s winter, staying intentionally active is vital.
Here are some ways to keep your body and spine healthy during the colder months:
• In-home stretches & body-weight exercises: A short 10-15 minute routine in the morning or evening including squats, lunges, glute-bridges, wall-push-ups, seated-rows with resistance bands can make a big difference.
• Gym or indoor fitness visits: If weather prohibits outdoor exercise, make the gym your “go-to” place. Use machines or free weights to maintain strength in your legs, core, back and arms.
• Movement breaks: Even if you work from home or spend long hours seated, stand up every 30-45 minutes to walk, stretch, or reach overhead for 30–60 seconds.
• Outdoor time when possible: If the weather allows, a brisk walk, hiking, snow-shoeing or even playing with the kids in the yard helps maintain mobility, circulation and mood.
• Focus on strength: Don’t just stretch. You need to build and maintain muscle. Your body needs strength to support your spine, protect joints, and enable daily activities.
Remember: the goal isn’t to train for a marathon (unless you want to!) The goal is to keep moving, maintain muscle tone and support your spine throughout the season.

3. Introducing Our New Cold Laser Service
We are excited to share that Stemp Family Chiropractic has added a powerful, cutting edge, tool to our wellness & recovery arsenal: the low level/“cold” laser therapy system from Erchonia. This advanced technology offers a non-invasive way to support your body’s healing and recovery.
What is it?
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT), sometimes called “cold laser” or photobiomodulation, uses very low-power light wavelengths (in visible spectrum) to stimulate cellular processes, support tissue repair, reduce inflammation and relieve pain. This molecular excitation activates key biochemical reactions. One of the most important: enhanced ATP production via the mitochondrial electron transport chain.
Why we chose Erchonia Lasers:
• Their lasers are FDA cleared for pain relief and musculoskeletal applications. For example, their XLR8 laser produced a 72 % clinical success rate in a study of chronic low back pain.
• Their EVRL model offers red and violet wavelengths (635 nm red + 405 nm violet) for expanded applications, including pain relief, anti-microbial effects, and soft-tissue support.
What this means for you:
• If you’re dealing with persistent neck, shoulder, back or foot pain that hasn’t fully responded to other therapies, cold-laser may help complement your chiropractic care.
• In addition the Erchonia Low Level Laser has been shown to help with many other conditions including brain injury, vegas nerve conditions, toe nail fungus, and acne to name just a few.
• The treatment is painless, non-thermal (no heat or burning), and can often be done right in the office as an adjunct to your adjustment or rehab session.
• We’ll assess whether it’s appropriate for your condition, and if so, we’ll craft a treatment plan.
Invitation:
If you’re curious and would like to learn more, please ask at reception about our “Laser Intro Consult”. At this consult we will walk you through how it works and whether it may benefit you.
We believe this new service enhances our ability to serve you better, helping you return to those everyday activities you love, with less pain and greater ease.
4. Holiday Hours & Scheduling Reminders
The holiday season can be a wonderful—but stressful—time for many people, and we want to make sure we are available to help keep you healthy throughout it.
We will be doing our best to offer ample appointment times before and after the holidays so you can stay on track with your care and manage holiday stress effectively.
Please note our current holiday closure schedule:
Closed Friday, November 28 (after Thanksgiving)
Closed Wednesday, December 24 through Sunday, December 28
If any additional closures become necessary, we will notify patients as soon as possible by email, text, or call.
Massage Therapy Notice:
Our massage therapists may have different schedules during the holiday period. If you already have a massage appointment booked on those days, you will still be seen as scheduled unless you are contacted directly by your therapist.
We encourage you to schedule your adjustments and massages early to secure the times that work best for you!
