🚀 HIGH-CARB FUELING = REAL PERFORMANCE GAINS 🚀

For years, endurance athletes were told to “train low” and fear carbs.
The science is officially flipping that script 👇

📊 New research in elite marathon runners showed that fueling at 120g of carbs per hour (vs 60–90g/hr):
✅ Increased carbohydrate oxidation
✅ Lowered oxygen cost of running
✅ Improved running economy by ~2.6%

👉 A ~2.6% improvement in economy can be the difference between:
• PR vs missed goal
• Podium vs pack
• Strong finish vs late-race fade

🧠 What does this mean?
Runners using higher carb fueling were able to run more efficiently at the same pace — using less oxygen to do the same work.



🔥 How Dr. Falconi has been implementing this with her own training:
