🦋April is Volunteer Month, and this week we’re celebrating Volunteer Week, a special time to recognize the incredible people who give their time and heart to our community.

Brandi shows up for families with empathy, dedication, and a deep sense of gratitude. As a volunteer, she brings both heart and lived experience, knowing firsthand the impact HopeSparks has had on her own family.

“For me, volunteering is a way of expressing deep appreciation for what HopeSparks has done for my family. All three of my kids have received services here, and I’ve felt the difference it makes. We spend so much time going to appointments that even something like shopping can feel overwhelming. This support has eased a huge burden for us. I love organizing, and this gives me the opportunity to do something I love while helping other families feel their burden lifted too.” — Brandi

This Volunteer Week, we’re grateful for Brandi and for every volunteer who helps create a community rooted in care, connection, and compassion.

We were excited to welcome Sound Outreach to HopeSparks for a recent tour of our facilities!

It was a great opportunity to connect, share more about our work, and explore a potential partnership especially around providing access to HopesCloset for the families they serve.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to collaborate with organizations that are equally committed to supporting our community.

Together, we can expand resources and make an even greater impact for children and families.

A look back at last year’s unforgettable evening ✨

We invite you to join us this year for the Lighting the Way Dinner & Auction, an evening dedicated to supporting children and families in our community.

At HopeSparks, we work alongside children and families who have experienced trauma, adversity, and overwhelming life challenges. Through our programs, we strive to strengthen families by inspiring courage and confidence to make a lasting change.

This event is an opportunity to envision the future together while celebrating the impact made possible through the support of our community. Proceeds from the evening directly benefit HopeSparks programs, helping ensure that children and families have access to the care and services they need.

We hope you will join us for this meaningful occasion.

🦋Last night’s Annual Board Meeting was a meaningful time to celebrate the people and partnerships behind the HopeSparks mission.

We were proud to recognize Quota of Tacoma as Volunteer of the Year for their incredible support of HopesCloset and the families we serve.

We also honored our Les White Service and Leadership Award recipients Anna Blankenship, Sybille White, and Juanita Kean for their dedication and impact.

We had the opportunity to celebrate team member milestones, including Pati West for 20 years and Tamie Nielsen for 25 years, along with many others reaching important years of service.

We are so grateful for our team and community.

The Sunshine Room reflects Wellpoint’s commitment to helping children and families in Pierce County find care, support, and healing.

If you’re cleaning out your closet, this is a great time to make a real difference 💛

Right now, our kids clothing bins at HopesCloset are empty.

If you have gently used clothing, especially kids and youth sizes, we would be so grateful for your donation. Every item helps ensure a child has something to wear, something that fits, and something that helps them feel confident.
