✨ Celebrating Tacoma’s Monkeyshine Lunar New Year Tradition ✨

Our team had so much fun taking part in Tacoma’s beloved Monkeyshines tradition! 🏺💎

Some of our staff were lucky enough to discover beautiful glass orbs and rouges hidden throughout the community—what an exciting way to welcome the New Year! 🎉 We also brought the celebration indoors by creating our own Monkeyshine-inspired crafts with our kiddos.

Beyond the fun, this tradition is a perfect example of how outdoor exploration supports speech and language development. Going on a large scavenger hunt in nature naturally encourages:

• Describing what you see
• Asking and answering questions
• Following directions
• Expanding vocabulary
• Engaging in social interaction

When learning is active, meaningful, and playful, communication thrives 🌿💬
