The days are getting shorter and the nights cooler, leaves are picking up hues of amber and gold and crimson, and will soon be crunching under our feet and maybe even hiding under some snow here soon.

That means its almost that time of year when we'll be getting together more, sharing good food and warm fires, and, returning after 2 years, A-RAWns Truffles is hoping to once again be there to offer you and your loved ones a delicious decadent healing source of sweet!

Why A-'RAW'ns does not use Agave Nectar

There is quite a bit of controversy as to whether Agave Nectar is safe for diabetics or not, and as to whether those that are watching their sugar intake are doing themselves a disservice by consuming it.
This article contains a good amount of info about that controversy, although the author apparently had never heard of Coconut Nectar/Coconut Sugar when they wrote this. Coconut Nectar and Coconut Sugar have all the sweetness and none of the controversy.

A-'RAW'ns will never use Agave for these reasons, especially when there is a raw living natural alternative with a much higher nutrient profile that has been proven safe for diabetics!
We also use a small amount of Stevia to enhance the sweetness of the Coconut Nectar and lower the glycemic load of our already low-sugar truffles, but never enough to overpower the full rich sweetness of the Coconut Nectar :)

I've heard all kinds of great feedback and would love others who are interested to know they're getting something healthy, and more importantly, delicious! It may be hard for some to believe all these healthy ingredients can combine to make something that actually tastes great! ;)
