ABA Therapy Outside the Classroom!

Student Rylan Schmidt and RBT Jordan Clifton took their learning session outdoors to enjoy the beautiful weather. Rylan practiced transitioning skills by working in a new environment with natural
distractions—an important step in learning to adapt anywhere.

He also focused on improving his handwriting and, impressively, even asked to keep working during his reinforcer time. During reinforcer time, Rylan loved exploring the concept of BIG vs. small while playing with a ball that grew larger and smaller—proving that learning can be just as fun as it is meaningful!

Every day is a new opportunity to grow, learn, and discover—inside or outside the classroom.

RISE Autism teamed up with ASB's School Counselor and Adjustment Specialist to kick off our Empowering Kids Social Skills Group for ASB high school students. Today's session was all about cultivating the art of waiting patiently. The students engaged in fun discussions and activities that highlighted the importance of slowing down and practicing patience (with themselves and others), rather than always hurrying through life. It was a great way to connect and grow together.

Not only did she read a super fun story to prepare them for their first-ever dental visit, but they also got to show off their awesome brushing skills! Our RISE Together Preschoolers have been hard at work! They had an absolute blast using Play-Doh to sculpt colorful letters! To top it off, they created the cutest brown bear art using puff paint, perfectly paired with the story for the month, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" 🐻🎨📖
