☁️🌦 Wow — it was Weather Week in Ms. Makayla’s class! Students read "Little Cloud" and wrote their names in fluffy whipped cream clouds! 😋✨ Then they counted to 6 and made their very own rain clouds with 6 raindrops 🌧️💧.

For some extra hands-on fun, they created cloud masterpieces with glue and lots of creativity! 🖍️💛 Learning about weather has never been so tasty and fun! 🌟

🍗👩‍🍳 Mrs. Christina’s students had a tasty adventure in the Student Center kitchen! They read and followed step-by-step instructions to prepare frozen wings and french fries — learning valuable daily living skills while making a delicious snack. 🥳🍟

🚜🐷✨ Mrs. Maddison’s class has spun into a web of fun with their Charlotte’s Web book study! 📖💫 Students are following Wilbur 🐖 and Charlotte 🕷 on a story full of friendship, kindness, and clever surprises — and bringing it to life with hands-on math activities! 🧮🎉

Counting barnyard friends, spotting shapes, and exploring patterns has never been so egg-citing 🥚🐥 or pig-tastic 🐷💛! Every day is a new adventure in learning, laughter, and barnyard fun! 🌟

🧙‍♀️✨ Something magical was happening in Ms. Makayla’s room last week! After reading "Room on the Broom," our little witches and wizards used story pieces to tell the tale again — then tossed them in the cauldron and abracadabra! it turned into candy! 🍬🎩💫

For math, they jammed to a Gracie’s Corner song all about shapes, then found and matched them in a wiggly, giggly sensory bin! 🔺🟩🎶 Learning is such a treat when you mix in a little magic and music! 💛

🎃 Our secondary students had a spooktacular Halloween, too! 👻 They went trick-or-treating at E.H. Gentry and joined the fun at ASB’s Fall Festival — complete with yummy snacks, a petting zoo with feathered, furry, and hard-shelled friends, exciting games, and a hayride to top it all off! 🍬🐐🎯🍂

🎃👻 Elementary Trick-or-Treat Fun! 👻🎃

Our Elementary students had a spooktacular Friday! 👻 They enjoyed trick-or-treating around AIDB campuses and in the community — collecting candy, smiles, and lots of Halloween memories along the way! 🍬🍭

To top off the day, our friends in the AIDB Maintenance Department treated everyone to an afternoon hayride! 🚜🍂 Laughter, fall breeze, and happy faces made it the perfect ending to a festive day!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a day full of fun and excitement for our students! 💛

Our HKS Agriculture students have been busy harvesting turmeric! 🧤🌱 The golden roots fresh from the garden have been weighed — but before we share how many pounds we harvested...we want YOU to take a guess!

🎃🦅 Some of our Emerging Eagles had a spooktacular time helping pass out candy to the little ghosts and goblins from the New Adventures Learning Center at Anne Sullivan on Halloween! 🍭 🍬 The little ones loved trick-or-treating, and our Eagles enjoyed putting smiles on their faces (and candy in their buckets)! 💛🧡

🍁🎃 Fall Fun at HKS! 🎃🍁

Our Fall Festival on Thursday was filled with laughter, games, and plenty of delicious snacks! 🎯🧁 Students from the Alabama School for the Blind joined us and did an amazing job running the different game stations — thank you for all your hard work and enthusiasm! 👏

We also want to give a huge shoutout to our Fall Festival Committee for planning such a fantastic event and to our cafeteria staff for the tasty treats that kept everyone smiling. 🧡 A special thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success — it was truly a celebration of fun, friendship, and fall spirit at HKS! 🍂
