As the year comes to a close, we pause with grateful hearts. This year brought growth, challenges, perseverance, and countless moments of joy within our school family. Each day was shaped by the resilience of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support of our families and community.

Tonight, we reflect on all that has been accomplished and look ahead with hope and purpose. May the new year bring continued growth, fresh opportunities, and even more moments that remind us why the work we do matters so deeply.

Wishing everyone a safe, peaceful, and joyful New Year’s Eve as we prepare to welcome a new year together. ✨

Spreading holiday cheer through reading and creativity! 🎄✨

One of our elementary students, Lauryn, paid a special visit to our PreK classroom to read How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The PreK students loved hearing the story and getting into the holiday spirit! 📚💚

After the story, the students expressed their creativity by painting their very own Grinch masterpieces, practicing fine motor skills, color recognition, and self-expression. 🖌️🎨

Moments like this build literacy, social connections, and artistic skills, all while celebrating the joy of the season. ❄️💫

Who else loves seeing the Grinch come to life through students’ creativity? 💚✨

🎁✨ We found a few more sweet moments from our school gift opening, and they were just too special not to share. 💙

From smiles of surprise to quiet moments of pride and joy, these photos capture the heart of the season—connection, generosity, and the simple happiness of being together. Our students were surrounded by love and kindness, and it showed in every reaction.

We are so grateful for everyone who helped make these moments possible and for the memories our students will carry with them long after the wrapping paper is gone. 💫

Sweet teamwork and hands-on learning! 🍬🏠✨

Just before winter break, Mrs. Maddison and Ms. Shelby’s classes joined forces to build a Gingerbread House, and the results were both creative and educational.

Students worked together to plan their design, practice fine motor skills while assembling and decorating the house, and make thoughtful choices about colors, patterns, and placement. They also strengthened communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills along the way. 🎨🤝

Activities like this turn festive fun into meaningful, skill-building experiences, allowing students to explore creativity while practicing important academic and social skills. ❄️🍭

What’s your favorite part of decorating a gingerbread house? 🏠✨

Creativity, collaboration, and career skills! 👕🦅

Our Emerging Eagles design and create custom t-shirts (and more!) using Direct to Film printing, participating in every step of the process from concept to completion.

Students take part in design discussions, assist with dusting and curing DTF prints, adhere and press designs onto shirts, use cooling blocks to properly set each print, peel the film, and prepare finished shirts by placing them on hangers or packaging them for our school shop, Eagles Landing.

This ongoing, hands-on experience supports sequencing, fine motor development, teamwork, problem-solving, and vocational readiness, while allowing students to produce high-quality items for a real workplace setting. ✨📚🤝

Throughout the year, students also create designs that are offered exclusively to Institute employees — giving our Eagles the opportunity to contribute to something special for our community. 🦅👕

Which part of the t-shirt process do you think requires the most skill or patience? 👀✨

🎄 A Little Trip Down Memory Lane 🎄

Before Christmas break, Mrs. Jennifer's classroom took a step back in time. 💛

Mrs. Jennifer put out a Facebook poll asking friends and family what their favorite toys were “back in the day,” and the responses were such a fun blast from the past!

She shared the results with the students and talked about what toys were popular years ago. Then each student got to choose which toy they would have picked if they lived in that time. The conversations, curiosity, and excitement were priceless.

It was a sweet reminder of the simple joys of the good old days—and how fun it is to learn by connecting generations.

What was your favorite toy waking up to see on Christmas morning as a kid?

🎬🎄 A Day Full of Smiles and Holiday Magic 🎄🎬

Our student body recently enjoyed a fun-filled trip to the mall where they watched Zootopia 2, shared a delicious Chick-fil-A lunch, and wrapped up the day with a special visit with Santa 🎅✨

From laughter during the movie to joyful moments meeting Santa, it was a day full of connection, excitement, and memories we’ll treasure. Experiences like these help make the season extra special for our students. ❤️
