And … Oftentimes people who clench and grind also have some troubles breathing at night, whether they realize it or not. Do you clench or grind your teeth?!

Anytime I’m at the , I check for these small bottles of dish soap. I hit the jackpot today! I like to give them out when I fit my patients for a new nightguard. Toothpaste is too abrasive for the nightguard material and will create microscopic scratches. While the nightguard will still work, it’ll turn yellow and harbor all sorts of yucky bacteria, yeast, mold, and tartar in those scratches, and even make it stinky 😳🤢. A soft brush and a little drop of Dawn does the trick, and these little bottles easily fit in a vanity drawer (and last forever!).

Of course, even better than wearing a nightguard is NOT GRINDING AT ALL! If you’re ready to kick that clenching and grinding habit for good, a few rounds of a neuromodulator like Xeomin or Botox is the way to go. (Oh the relief! I know from experience!!)
