Activity post! 🤩

Have a child that is constantly on the move?

This is a fun way to incorporate vestibular input while working the brain and body!
The child must roll from side to side bringing the various colored balls to the matching ring.

This task addresses so many areas such as strength, endurance, sensory processing, motor planning, sequencing, body awareness, and more!

Add extra elements by calling out a sequence that they must follow, have them alternate upper extremity use, or go at a certain speed.
Easy to reproduce at home which is always a plus!

Look how fun!
We used themed skeleton hands a few weeks ago on Halloween to manipulate toys for an activity adaptation!
The kids thought it was so fun and we loved the extra bilateral control it required!

This activity was so much fun!!

We manipulated play doh which has its own sensory, fine motor, strengthening, and body awareness benefits and then we made this awesome maze together!

Sequencing, direction following, attention, cooperative play, problem solving and critical thinking were all utilized!
Then, we ended it with a fun oral motor game! Blowing the ball through the maze utilizing the straw increases sensory oral input which this child craves.
We had a blast and she doesn’t even realize the hard work she’s completing!
