FALA CEO, Bijou Ikli, joined fellow panelists Lisa L. Bretz (Executive Director, The Area Agency on Aging for North Florida, Advantage Aging Solutions) and Linda Levin (CEO, Area Agency on Aging for Northeast Florida; ElderSource), along with moderator Nicolette Castagna (Community Engagement and Health Systems Manager, FSU College of Medicine Dept. of Geriatrics), yesterday at the Florida Aging Summit to discuss Aging in Place: Building Supportive Communities for Older Adults. We’re proud to contribute to conversations shaping the future of aging in Florida and highlighting the importance of supportive communities for older adults. Providing the right support is critical to ensuring older adults can safely and confidently age in place.

Attention FALA Facility Members - Scholarship Opportunity! Don't miss the deadline (11/30/2025)!!✨🙌

The Florida Assisted Living Research & Education Foundation will be awarding two or more $1,000 academic scholarships for the Spring 2026 semester. This scholarship is available to FALA Facility Member employees who are enrolled in accredited college or university degree programs, such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, gerontology, nutrition/dietary, or clinical social work. Other aging or health-related fields might also be considered.

The Foundation is dedicated to advancing our mission of supporting excellence in senior living and, through this scholarship program, to invest in the education and development of individuals who embody the attributes essential to our mission.
