The Thumb Blade is a safety cutter that attaches to the users’ index finger, allowing the user to safely make a cut and secure the blade all in one motion. Unlike traditional safety cutters, the thumb blade does not require a holster or need to be secured in pocket after each cut. The thumb blade is less likely to be misplaced as it is attached to the users' finger. It is ergonomically designed for the user to complete other tasks without having to remove the unit from his or her finger (i.e. lifting boxes, writing, typing, scanning, or using other devices such as a handheld/telxon).
