This award recognizes a chaplain who has made an outstanding contribution to spiritual care and counseling at Big Bend Hospice. Each year, it is presented to someone who brings comfort, guidance, and compassion to patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Neal embodies the heart of this award. Through his steady presence, and thoughtful support, he uplifts the emotional and spiritual well being of those we serve. His work reminds us how powerful a listening ear and a caring spirit can be.

Gadsden County Service of Remembrance 💚

The holiday season can feel especially heavy after the loss of a loved one. If you’re looking for a safe space to find comfort, support, and understanding, we invite you to join us for our Gadsden County Hope for the Holidays, a gentle gathering designed to help you navigate this time of year.

You’ll learn practical tools for coping, connect with others who understand, and find encouragement as you move through the season at your own pace. Youth activities will also be available.

Memories are Timeless Treasures of the Heart

During the holiday season, Big Bend Hospice’s Tree of Remembrance invites our community to honor the people who have touched our lives and create a living tribute to the lasting power of love. Donate for a bell, bow, or angel ornament to be placed on one of our special trees throughout the Big Bend and include a heartfelt note in memory of a loved one.

You may also purchase a beautiful keepsake ornament for a lasting memory. Along with your keepsake, a special message will be added to a bow and placed on a Tree of Remembrance of your choice.

Today kicks off our Care & Comfort Drive to support patients in Gadsden County. We’re collecting nutrition shakes (Ensure, Boost, and similar), twin XL sheets, towels, and washcloths to help provide extra support for the people we serve. Every donated item makes a meaningful difference for patients and families receiving hospice care in our community.

Donations accepted November 24 through December 31, 2025
