Congratulations to Ann Brown, CNA at Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab for earning the Long Term Care Award at the Long Term Care Symposium in Brevard County. At the young age of 82, Ann has spent more than 30 years working as a CNA on the 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift. She’s also an active member of local organizations that help her bring year-round joy to her residents. Ann credits her caregiving role to staying young and serves as a mentor and cheerleader to her fellow caregivers at Royal Oaks. Congratulations, Ann, on a well-deserved award, and thank you for your dedication to the long term care community!

Today we honor the men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom. Thank you to all our Veterans, especially those living and working in our member care centers. FHCA members are proud to make a positive impact on the lives of these Veterans every day, but especially today as we honor them on Veterans Day. Meet Briana Robinson, a 2024 FHCA scholarship recipient who just earned her LPN license. Briana has been working at Healthcare Management Bayshore Pointe Nursing & Rehab while also attending LPN school in the evenings. She shared with us that living with her grandmother is how her love for the elderly and long term care began, and that becoming an LPN is just the beginning of her journey. Long term care is her passion, and she plans to continue working hard toward her ultimate goal of becoming an RN. Congratulations Briana on achieving this goal!
