Officer Martin and Officer Kai gave an exciting presentation to The Grove at Canopy residents and staff! Officer Kai demonstrated how she can locate items of evidence, like discarded fi****ms or items with human scent; apprehend fleeing subjects through biting (non lethal restraint) and to protect their handlers during threats and assist with detection of drugs, contraband and more.

🍽️ Residents enjoyed a fantastic Friday afternoon outing to Coosh's Bayou Rouge!

From the moment we sat down, it was all about great food, plenty of laughs, and even better company. These outings are more than just a meal. They really are chance to connect, share stories, and make lasting memories together.

Safe to say, it was a deliciously fun afternoon that everyone will be talking about for a while! 😊

History came alive at The Grove at Canopy as residents were treated to a fascinating educational presentation by Tommy Bowermeister and Oscar Brannon from the Dale Mabry Airfield Museum. The museum memorializes the history of a remarkable WWII airbase right here in Tallahassee, where 8,000 pilots trained, including the legendary Tuskegee Airmen and Allied pilots from Free France and Nationalist China. The airfield closed in 1946 and was returned to civil use, and today, Tallahassee State College stands on those very grounds. But the highlight of the day? Hearing from our very own resident John Barr, who actually flew into that airbase during World War II!

🌸🐣 Springtime magic was in full bloom at The Grove at Canopy this weekend!

Our Easter Egg Hunt brought together residents, families, and lots of little ones for a day filled with laughter, sweet treats, and unforgettable memories. It was a celebration of joy, connection, and togetherness.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing generations come together and moments like these shared. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special. We already can’t wait for next year!

The Grove at Canopy had the best time hosting students from Florida State University for our Spring Art Program! Our residents absolutely loved spending time with the FSU crew, and together they made some stunning works of art.

Who knew a beach ball could turn into THIS much fun?! 😂🏖️

Our Starlight residents were all smiles (and lots of laughs!) while trying out a hilarious new game that had everyone cheering each other on. It’s safe to say this game was a huge hit.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about the game. It’s about the laughter, connection, and unforgettable moments we get to share together. 💙

🍀 What a shamrockin’ good time at The Grove at Canopy! Our residents had an absolute blast celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in style! From festive green outfits to beautiful decorations, the community was filled with Irish cheer.

Everyone enjoyed delicious themed food, fun games, and plenty of laughter shared among friends. It was a day full of joy, connection, and a little extra luck of the Irish! We’re so grateful for moments like these that bring our community together.

🙌 A huge thank you to the Tallahassee Community Relations Department for visiting us here at The Grove at Canopy!

Officers John Sabo, Vicki Posey, Tony Carlson, Adrian Mirabal, and Kaitlyn Grimes took time out of their day to share a wonderful and very informative presentation on current financial scams and AI threats that are impacting people right here in Tallahassee and across the country.

Not only did they share their knowledge, but they also left behind an info sheet with vital tips our residents can refer back to.
