How does an ultrasound confirm and date your pregnancy?🤔

An ultrasound uses sound waves to create an image of your uterus, showing the developing pregnancy. 🖤
It can confirm intrauterine pregnancy and fetal heartbeat. 💓

The nurse also measures the baby from head to bottom—this is called the crown-rump length. This provides an estimate of how far along you are. 🗓️

We offer free limited ultrasounds to give you clear insight to what's happening in your body.

Considering the abortion pill? Here’s what you should know:

The abortion pill (also known as medical abortion) typically involves two medications taken in the first 10 weeks of pregnancy. The first ends the pregnancy, and the second causes the uterus to expel it. Side effects can include cramping, heavy bleeding, nausea, and more.

At AWPC, we don’t perform or refer for abortions, but we do offer a Pre-Abortion Assessment — including free lab-quality pregnancy testing, a limited ultrasound, and options counseling. We'll walk you through what the abortion pill is, how it works, and local legislation — so you can make an informed decision. 💬

Our Story

A Women's Pregnancy Center is a non-profit organization that provides services to the Tallahassee area. A Women's Pregnancy Center and STD Clinic offers free pregnancy testing, low cost STD testing, free counseling, free non-diagnostic ultrasounds, and free material assistance to our clients. AWPC believes it is every woman’s right to be well informed about all of her pregnancy options (adoption, abortion, and parenting). We offer counseling, parenting classes, adoption referrals, and information on abortion. We are also the only center in Tallahassee that does a post abortion support group. We do not provide or refer for abortion procedures, but each of our counselors is trained to explain abortion procedures and risks during their appointment. We do STD testing for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, HIV, Trichomonas, and Bacterial Vaginosis."
