Miller Funeral Home is pleased to announce the addition of Catlin Marie Vandekamp to its professional staff as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Catlin graduated from Haralson County High School as a member of the Class of 2023. She devoted seven years to the school band and proudly served as Drum Major during her senior year.

During her senior year, Catlin expressed an interest in the funeral industry and began her career with Miller Funeral Home through the work-based learning program in January 2023. Following graduation, she enrolled in the online funeral service program at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon completion of the program, she successfully passed both National Funeral Director Board Exams, as well as the Georgia State Exam. On February 9, 2026, Catlin officially became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Georgia.

In anticipation of this milestone, we postponed our annual “Christmas” party and gathered to celebrate at Mama-N-Em’s Southern Kitchen & Steakhouse on February 7.
