Angelina Barbara Puccio, a woman of remarkable wit and a sharp mind, passed away peacefully at the age of 104 on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Laurel Center in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.

Born on June 9, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Eustachio and Santa (Nicoletta) Carucci. After graduating from Franklin Lane High School, Angelina began her career in the Brooklyn textile industry before transitioning to the secretarial department of Standard & Poor’s in New York City, where she worked until her retirement. Locally, she was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. in Tamaqua.

Even at 104, Angelina remained an avid reader and stayed deeply engaged with the world. She was a master of word puzzles and spent many peaceful hours knitting, crocheting, and creating beautiful afghans for her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Orlando John Puccio; her sisters, Mary Chirco and Cecelia Perry; and her brothers, Mauro, Tony, and John Carucci.

Angelina's legacy of intelligence and grace lives on through her family, including: son, Richard J. Puccio; grandchildren, Christopher Puccio and his wife LoriAnn, Gabriell Puccio; great grandchildren, Leo and Andrew Puccio. Nieces and nephews also survive Angelina.

Jeffrey Lee Wagner, 65, of Tamaqua & Weatherly Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hazleton Campus—leaving behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and memories that will continue to be shared for years to come.

Born on September 10, 1960, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Jeff was the son of the late Lee and Esther (Hill) Wagner. He was also reunited with his stepchildren Lydia Joy Gundry, Dana Marie Scatton, and Joshua Lee Gundry.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Lenore S. (Weston) Scatton-Wagner; his eldest daughter, Laura Ashlee Wagner & fiancé Carls H. Germain; his son, Bryan Jeffrey Wagner; and his youngest daughter, Jillian Lee Wagner & spouse, David Drozdowski.

He is also survived by his brothers—Tim and his wife, Chris; Dave and his wife Linda; & Andy and his wife Michele—as well as his stepchildren Josiah “JJ” Gundry & wife Danielle Parisi-Gundry, Jacob Goralewski, & grandchildren Elijah, Aria, & Aries.

A 1978 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Jeff went on to attend Lock Haven University, earning his bachelor’s degree. He most recently worked at Amazon as a Processing Assistant Administrator and attended mass at Weatherly Faith Church.

Jeff will be remembered as a man who believed in showing up, working hard, and doing things the right way, living out that work ethic every day and taking pride in the life he built. He had the gift of being a natural-born negotiator—not just for the savings, but for the challenge and the story behind every deal.

With a sharp mind and great sense of humor, Jeff enjoyed cheering on the Phillies, watching Survivor from the very beginning, and keeping up with the world through his daily newspapers.

More than anything, Jeff will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the love he shared—often in his own unique, no-nonsense, but always genuine way.

A memorial service for Jeff will be held on Friday May 1, 2026 at 3 o'clock P.M. from the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 211 1st St., Weatherly, PA 18255. A calling will be held from1 P.M. until the time of services.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother and matriarch Lois Nola (Dietrich) Douglas, 97 years of age of Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in Weatherly.

Born Friday, February 1, 1929 in Packer township, Pennsylvania on her family’s farm, the daughter of the late James and Ida M.E. (Knepper) Dietrich. Lois was the youngest of 14 children, she was also predeceased by; daughter, Joanne L. (Douglas) Zboray; Grandson, Michael Douglas; sisters, Mae Kunkel, Edith Reed, Iva Kunkel, Alverta Bizarre, Irma Logan, Velma Thrash, Lorraine Argust, Melva Dietrich; brothers, Harold, Melvin, Gordon, Floyd and Lee Dietrich.

Lois was the heart of her home. A graduate of Weatherly High School, she spent years working in the textile industry, but her true passion was caring for her family. Whether she was baking, cooking, or lost in a good book, Lois filled her home with warmth and love. A faithful member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, she lived a life defined by devotion to her late husband of 60 years, James Charles Douglas, the love of her life, and the large family they built together. Sons, James Douglas and his wife Darlene, Bruce Douglas and his wife Jackie, and Ronald Douglas. Daughters, Ruth Klein wife of Don, Kathy Mengle wife of Johnny; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. Lois was so excited and blessed to welcome the birth of her 15th great grandchild, Wrenley Nola, Daughter of Grandson Max Walters and his wife Tabitha.

Janice A. (Steigerwalt) Jech, a devoted mother and doting “Memmy Joe" passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. At 93 years old, she was surrounded by the love of her family in Haines City, Florida, under the tender care of her granddaughter, Erika, and great granddaughter, Jasi.

A lifelong resident of the Andreas and New Ringgold area, Janice was born on November 13, 1932. She dedicated over 42 years of hard work to the wire department at Atlas Powder Co. in Clamtown. Beyond her work, Janice was a faithful member of Ben Salem United Church of Christ and a familiar face at the Andreas Sporting Club. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—whether she was mastering a difficult puzzle, making her seasonal candy and donuts, testing her luck at BINGO night, baking one of her favorite desserts, or tending to her beloved "fur babies.”

The daughter of the late Irvin and Mabel (Hartman) Steigerwalt, Janice was also predeceased by; husband, Joseph J. Jech; precious daughter, Penny Zeigler; siblings, Mae Womer, Phyllis Kobal, Elaine Sowers, Ernest, Hilbert, Curtis, Luther and Bruce Steigerwalt. Her legacy lives on through her daughter, Kim Harrower and her husband Glen; son-in-law, Dave Zeigler; grandchildren, Erika Zeigler and her husband Jose Cordero, Brandon Zeigler and his companion Manny Pinho, Rebekka Zeigler and her companion Johnny Sosnowski, Candis Wagner wife of Bryan, Amanda Behler wife of Brian, Tara Strohl wife of Rodney; great grandchildren, Tyler, Sierra wife of Zachary, Justin and his companion Danielle, Aiden, Kaylee fiancé of Caleb, Jaylin (Memmy’s Elvis), Jasi and her companion Ricky; and future great-great grandson, Bryson. Many nieces and nephews also survive Janice.

Barbara Ann Schaeffer, a vibrant spirit and the heart of her family, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice in Bethlehem. At 72, Barbara concluded a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of music, laughter, and love.
Born in Coaldale on February 12, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Dorothy (Kunkel) Gladney. Attending Tamaqua schools, Barbara spent her career in the textile industry, most recently bringing her dedication to Majestic Fire Apparel in Lehighton.
Barbara was truly the life of the party. Whether she was singing along to a local band or shining at a social gathering, her energy was infectious. She had a deep passion for cars and was a fixture at regional car shows, always taking immense pride in her own vehicles. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted "Gram" to her six grandchildren, who were the absolute center of her world.
She is survived by her loving husband, Steven P. Schaeffer; her daughters, Lisa Marie Hill and Summer Schaeffer; her brother, Elwood Gladney; and her sisters, Sandra Kammerdiener and Tracy Chappell. Her memory will be cherished forever by her adored grandchildren: Johnathan, Samantha, Mikey, Deanna, Brandon, and Damien.

Betty M. Breiner, 85, a lifelong resident of Mahoning Township, passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished. For 63 years, she was the devoted wife and soulmate of Kenneth E. Breiner.
Born on October 26, 1940, on her grandparents' farm in Normal Square, Betty was the daughter of the late Harvey and Miriam Kistler. A 1958 graduate of Lehighton High School, Betty matriculated to East Stroudsburg Teachers College graduating in 1962. Betty, dedicated 30 years to shaping young minds as a third-grade teacher in the Lehighton Area School District. Her legendary patience wasn't just for the classroom; it was woven into every stitch of her crewel embroidery and needlepoint.
Betty was a woman of sharp wit and quiet service, whether she was leading a Cub Scout pack, solving a crossword, completing a puzzle, or finding peace in a good book with a cat on her lap. A faithful member of St. Peter’s Church of Mantzville, her greatest joy remained her sprawling, loving family.
Surviving in addition to her husband Kenneth are; daughter, Lisa A. Breiner; son, David K. Breiner and his wife Paula; sisters, Linda L. Nace wife of Mitchell, Shirley K. Baker wife of Richard; grandchildren, Kailey Boyle and her husband Mark, Karissa Ramer and her husband BJ; great grandchildren, Allen Tracy, Aiden Tracy, Adelynn Tracy, Kendra Vincent wife of Jake; great great grandchildren, Emma Boyle, Ava Boyle, McKenzie Witkowski, Jaylessa Kane, Great daughter-in-law Elizabeth Boyle.

Patricia A. Borella, aged 79, of Weatherly, passed away peacefully at her home on April 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 7, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, Patricia was the cherished daughter of the late Michael and Grace (Hazel) McCole. Preceded by her partner of 30 years Evelyn Gregory.

A 1964 graduate of Sayville High School, Patricia pursued a dedicated career as a Nurse's Aid,employed by New York State Psychiatric Hospital. Her commitment to care and compassion marked her professional life, embodying the spirit of service to others that she carried throughout her years.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Patricia embraced a variety of interests that enriched her life. She was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting coins, hobbies that reflected her appreciation for history and detail. Her admiration for Elvis Presley was well-known among her family and friends. Patricia also treasured the companionship of her beloved dog, Chico, who brought joy and comfort to her days.

Patricia’s love of travel took her to numerous national parks, where she found solace and inspiration in nature’s beauty. She delighted in simple pleasures such as ice cream and M&M’s, and she found entertainment in playing scratch-off games, basket raffles. Her commitment to community service was evident through her many years of volunteering for the Walk for Alzheimer's, her involvement with the voting board of elections, donating to many charities, her active membership in the Senior Club of East Stroudsburg and Weatherly.

She is survived by her two daughters: Annamarie Moran-Luckwaldt, wife of Richard, and Jennifer Parzuchowski, partner of Sam Felicione. Patricia was a proud grandmother to Shane Moran and his wife Katie, Victoria Luckwaldt, Ryan Luckwaldt, Tyler Parzuchowski, husband of Laura, and Noah Borella-Guzman. Her great-granddaughter, Ella Parzuchowski, also survives her. Patricia is further survived by her brothers: Michael McCole, husband of Kathy; Timothy McCole, husband of Sandy; and Dennis McCole, husband of Nancy. Additionally, many nieces and nephews remember her fondly.

The family would like to thank LVHN Hospice, especially to Kim and Charlotte, for their love and compassion.

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, we said goodbye to a wonderful husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Robert "Rob" C. Nothstein, Jr., 73, of Andreas (East Penn Township), Pennsylvania, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his life and wife of 47 years, Cindy L. (Weaver) Nothstein.

Born in Palmerton on March 31, 1953, he was the son of Betty Nothstein of Lehighton and the late Robert C. Nothstein, Sr..

A proud graduate of Lehighton High School, Rob was a talented mechanic who owned and operated Nothstein Small Engine Repair in Andreas. Before his retirement, he also dedicated many years of hard work to Viking Injector in Allentown and Barrett-Haentjens Manufacturing in Hazleton.

Rob was a devoted and active member of Ben Salem Church in Lehighton, where he faithfully served as the cemetery groundskeeper for many years. Outside of work and church, he was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing, and enjoyed trips to Disney to see Chip 'n' Dale and Mickey Mouse. Rob was also a fan of "Snoopy" a Peanuts character. Rob took pride in the fact that everything had a fix to the girl's broken Barbie Dolls, or a Toaster a neighbor was getting rid of.

In addition to his beloved wife, Cindy, Rob often said his greatest accomplishment was his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his family: daughters, Amy L. Lusch wife of Terry, Robyn Stine wife of Mark, Katie Nothstein, Becky Cannon wife of John; sisters, Barbara Snowberger wife of Cliff, and Brenda Rex wife of David; brother, Brian Nothstein. He was the proud grandfather of 8 cherished grandchildren, Brandon Lusch, Kyra Lusch, Ethan Lusch, Lukas Huffnagle, Alexander Huffnagle, Kaydence Hartranft, Faith Hartranft and Olivia Hartranft. Many nieces and nephews also survive Rob.

Rob was also predeceased by; sister-in-law, Janice Nothstein; niece, Sarah Nothstein; nephew, Andrew Nothstein.
