Today, we mourn the loss of a giant.
Reverend Jesse Jackson was more than a voice, he was a lifeline for the unseen, the dismissed, the told-they-werenβt-enough, and the broken. He dared to speak truth to power, boldly, unapologetically, without retreat. In every march, every sermon, every act of courage, he reminded Black people everywhere that our future was not only possible, it was promised.
He stood in the gap when it wasnβt safe. He turned pain into power and struggle into strength. Carrying forward the dream of Martin Luther King Jr., he fought so the next generation could stand taller, speak louder, and dream bigger.
He was more than a leader. He was a defender of dignity. A guardian of hope. A champion for justice. Now the baton passes to young hands. May we honor his legacy not only with our words, but with our courage, lifting our voices, challenging injustice, and never, ever stopping the fight for a brighter tomorrow.
