Tonight was special at Monarch Home.

Both of our Tampa men’s sober-living houses came together for our 3rd Annual “Help the Homeless” Event, a tradition that’s become a powerful reminder of what recovery is really about: giving back, staying connected, and showing up for others.

Our residents spent the evening assembling care bags filled with hygiene items, socks, and snacks. These bags will be shared throughout the community this holiday season with our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

In sobriety, acts of service aren’t just things we do, they’re part of who we’re becoming. Watching these men volunteer their time, work side-by-side, and lead with gratitude is exactly why Monarch exists.

Proud of our guys. Proud of this community. Proud of the growth.

Here’s to another year of giving back and lifting others up. 💛🦋

📣 Resident Spotlight: Meet Matt S.

This week we’re highlighting Matt, one of our residents here at Monarch Home Sober Living in Tampa.

✨ Favorite thing about sobriety:
“Learning more about myself every day, and trying to be a better person than I was yesterday.”

✨ Favorite thing about Monarch:
“The brotherhood developed from late night conversations, whether it’s about the best ice cream at Bo’s or realizing my sponsor might have been right about just about everything.”

⛳ Hobbies outside of recovery:
Golfing with friends.

😅 Fun fact:
When Matt was 9, he fell 30 feet off a ski lift while pulling down the safety bar and didn’t break a single bone!

We’re proud of Matt and the positivity, humor, and strength he brings to our community. Keep smiling and keep reeling in those wins, on and off the water. 🎣💪

This post is a celebration of Jordon M., a true success story and a valued resident at Monarch Home Sober Living.

Jordon’s sobriety date is December 22, 2024. Since that day, he's discovered a life filled with peace of mind and the ability to "live in my own skin." That newfound happiness is clear in his love for the outdoors, from spending time at the beach to exercising and getting lost in a good book.

Jordon credits much of his journey to the unwavering support system he found in the recovery community and here at Monarch. He talks about the genuine care he feels from everyone, saying, "If I am struggling, I can get the support that I need." He cherishes the camaraderie of his housemates and the support from the owners- a true family in recovery.

A fun fact about Jordon: he spent ten years of his life showing American Saddlebred horses!

Jordon’s story is a beautiful example of what's possible with courage and community. We are honored to be a part of his recovery journey.

Celebrating Lane W.'s 5 Months of Sobriety!

We are absolutely thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our incredible residents, Lane W., who just hit an amazing milestone: five months of continuous sobriety! Since his sobriety date of January 24, 2025, Lane has been an extraordinary example to everyone at Monarch Home Sober Living in Tampa, Florida. His dedication, positive attitude, and commitment to his recovery journey are truly inspiring.

Lane's journey is a testament to the power of resilience and the joy that comes with embracing a sober life. When we asked him what he loves most about being sober, his answer resonated deeply: "Being able to show up for the people I love most and genuinely appreciating every day alive." This profound appreciation for life also extends to his passions. When he's not focusing on his sobriety, Lane loves to be out in the Tampa Bay area enjoying his hobbies of fishing, surfing, and sailing. It's wonderful to see him embracing these healthy outlets and finding joy in the simple, yet profound, moments of life.

One of the things that makes Monarch Home so special is the supportive community we foster. Lane spoke to this, sharing his favorite aspect of living here: "The ability to grow and strengthen my sobriety with like-minded men. The camaraderie keeps me motivated and held accountable." This sense of brotherhood and mutual support is a cornerstone of our program, and Lane's words perfectly capture the essence of what we strive to achieve for all our residents.

Huge congratulations to Nick C. on 6 months of sobriety! 🎉 Since November 15, 2024, Nick's journey at Monarch Home has been truly inspiring. He shared that he's found a renewed "sense of worth," rediscovering joy in the little things and appreciating what he has.

Nick's passion for the gym isn't just a hobby—it's a positive outlet that's leading him to get his personal training certification. His goal? To create a program for those fresh out of recovery, helping them build healthy habits and self-esteem. That's what we call paying it forward!

When asked about his favorite thing at Monarch Home, Nick said it's the "comradery." We're so proud of the supportive environment our residents create, always looking out for each other.

🎉 Huge shoutout to Neil B. as he successfully coins out of Monarch Home Sober Living tomorrow! 🎉

Neil's journey to this incredible milestone is truly inspiring. Before finding his path to sobriety, Neil proudly served our country for 13 years in the Army as a Black Hawk helicopter flight crew chief and an Apache attack helicopter maintenance crew chief. 🇺🇸

Mark your calendars! On May 20th, Neil will celebrate ONE YEAR of sobriety! What an amazing accomplishment. 🙌

Outside of his recovery journey, Neil enjoys spending quality time with his two sons, catching a movie (he's seen easily over 3,000!), and exploring the vibrant Channelside/Riverwalk area. 🎬🚶‍♂️

Looking ahead, Neil's excited to establish a new home group, attend new meetings, and connect with more individuals in the recovery community.

When asked about his favorite part of living at Monarch Home, Neil shared that it was "hanging out in the living room with the other guys" and building those meaningful relationships. ❤️

We are so incredibly proud of Neil and wish him all the best as he embarks on this new chapter. His dedication and positive spirit have touched us all. Keep shining, Neil! ✨

What an absolutely beautiful day celebrating THREE YEARS of Monarch Home Sober Living! ☀️🌊 Being at Cypress Point Park on the beach in Tampa Bay surrounded by so much love and support was truly special.

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to commemorate this milestone with us! Your presence meant the world. We were so incredibly moved by the inspirational stories shared by our amazing alumni speakers, Charlie and Joseph. Thank you for your courage and for reminding us all of the power of hope and recovery.

We are also deeply grateful for the incredible community support that showed up in force. Your belief in our mission and your unwavering encouragement have been instrumental in our journey. Every helping hand, every word of kindness, every moment of connection has made a difference.

These past three years have been filled with growth, resilience, and countless moments of transformation. We are so proud of the safe and supportive space Monarch Home has become, and it wouldn't be possible without each and every person who has been a part of our story – our residents, alumni, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Here's to many more years of providing hope and healing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Monarch Home is thrilled to announce a revolutionary new program: 'Sobriety Through Strikes!' We've partnered with a Grandmaster Sensei to bring our residents 2 hours of mandatory and intense Karate training weekly. Forget meditation, it's all about the roundhouse kick now! We’re confident this will not only enhance physical fitness but also equip our residents with the necessary skills to karate chop any cravings that come their way. 💥 We're aiming for black belts in recovery!

We're so grateful for the opportunity to have fun and celebrate recovery together. And let's be honest, no game is complete without snacks!
