Nowwww, we’re running businesses and looking good while doing so 💅

A lot of the time we get more out of our businesses than we could even write. While it’s nearly ever “easy,” & .lido give us so much purpose. When you start businesses with true passion behind them, it makes pushing through the hard days worth it

Hearing from that mama that just couldn’t find a clean electrolyte to take during pregnancy until they found LIDO? Makes our day ❤️

Let’s debunk some common myths around vibration plates 👇🏼 do you think they're worth investing in?

🤔Myth 1: Vibration plates strengthen your pelvic floor.
✅ Fact 1: Standing passively on a vibration plate produces little to no meaningful pelvic floor activation. When vibration is combined with active, loaded positions like squats, PF muscle engagement increases, but likely due to improved neuromuscular recruitment rather than the vibration itself. (PMID: 31555564)

🤔Myth 2: Vibration plates cause fat loss.
✅ Fact 2: Whole-body vibration produces very small increases in metabolic rate. The energy expenditure is typically similar to light activity, not a meaningful fat-loss stimulus. Fat loss requires a sustained calorie deficit, which vibration plates do not meaningfully create. (PMID: 36443661)

🤔Myth 3: Vibration plates are good for lymphatic drainage.
✅ Fact 3: Research is limited and mostly anecdotal here (or specific to lipadema patients). Vibration plates may aid in lymphatic drainage, but you know what else is good for lymphatic drainage? WALKING! EXERCISING! STRETCHING!

TLDR: Save your money & invest in some dumbbells instead. Standing passively on a vibration plate produces little to no meaningful impact. If you’re contemplating buying one, I think you should ask yourself - do I have the basics of a healthy lifestyle down first? Am I going for daily walks? Exercising for at least 30-minutes, 4-5x per week?

Same goals, different nighttime routines 🤝

We’re not striving for perfection, but rather consistency and getting better one month at a time. Something we are focusing on right now is sleep because we know how important it is to our overall health. Setting up for that successful nights sleep often comes from the evening leading up it. For Amanda, that looks like a walk and her head hitting the pillow at 9:30. For Ashley, it looks like mouth tape and hopping in bed at 10:00.
