Practicing and even teaching yoga is NOT about perfection.

It’s about learning how to stay balanced, present and patient with yourself - especially when you make mistakes.

So often, we think growth is the elimination of mistakes. Instead, in yoga growth is witnessed in your own ability to maintain equanimity even when you make a mistake.

We are human and are going to make mistakes. How you treat yourself during and after a mistake is where you can really witness your own growth in yoga.

Instead of ruminating and self-deprecating, can you practice patience with yourself and move on with the knowledge of your mistake to inform future actions?

Yoga is about getting to know yourself and trying to reduce suffering - suffering we cause to ourselves, others and suffering we unknowingly contribute to or perpetuate.

A - spaciousness in the front of the chest and introspection
B - extra release through the low back and hips
C - grounded steadiness while the spine grows up out of the pelvis
D - it’s hard and I love when I can either do it and accomplish the hard thing or honor the space my body needs for it to not be HARD πŸ˜‚

Experience real life in Tanzania and dive into your yoga practice each day.

Enjoy grounding and disconnecting from the business of everyday life. You’ll spend most nights nestled in the serene and peaceful setting of Amani Light Wellness retreat in Moshi, a sleepy town in the foothills of Kilimanjaro.

You’ll have daily morning yoga classes and adventures. Learn about Maasai culture and the traditional healing practices used by this incredible tribe, hike to a lovely waterfall, participate in a traditional Chagga cooking and life in the village, heal your body, mind, and soul while reconnecting to the nature of this world and your own personal nature.

You will then take a 2 day safari to Tarangire and Ngorongoro crater, including a mid-luxury accommodation for that night.
