Subclavius Muscle a small triangular muscle, placed between the clavicle and the first rib.
O: a strong tendon from the sternal end of the 1st rib, near its articulation with the costal cartilage.
I: onto the inferior surface of the middle third of the clavicle, specifically into the subclavian groove.

Protects the subclavian artery and brachial plexus as they pass through the costoclavicular space.
