Hi, my name is Angela Foxworth-Limehouse. I have stage 4 kidney disease. I am currently looking for a living kidney donor. My blood type is O+. This disease was caused because of an anti-rejection medication I was taking because I had a heart transplant back in September 2010. The anti-rejection med was used to help keep my body from rejecting my new heart. You see, I've had a few challenges with my health over the years. I was first diagnosed with heart disease back in 2004. My cardiologist put me on the heart transplant list and in the meantime I received a pacemaker, a machine that helped keep my heart beating. About 6 years later, in 2010, I received a heart transplant and was put on the medication that I would later find out would cause great strain on my kidneys. I also was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and had to have a double mastectomy.
Four years later, after living cancer free and my new heart in good health things seemed to be going great. But then, in 2021, I found out about my kidney's. My anti-rejection medicine had put such a strain on my kidney's that they had been driven to failure; and that is why you are reading this post.
I'm currently on the donor list, but that could take years. But if I could find a living donor, I could be healed. If my story has touched your heart in anyway please click the link and see if you're eligible to be a donor; and if you can't be a donor please like and share this so I might find a donor, thank you.
