Your IBD medication does more than manage symptoms—it helps protect your future.

Our latest IBD Medication Tip Sheet explains why staying on schedule with biologic infusions is so important for people living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Even when you’re feeling well, inflammation can still be active, increasing the risk of flares, complications, and colorectal cancer over time.
At Sage Infusion, we support patients with consistent, medically supervised infusion care designed to control inflammation, promote healing, and reduce long-term risks.

On World Kidney Day, we stand with patients, caregivers, and providers committed to advancing kidney health for all. 💚

At Sage Infusion, we care for patients living with chronic kidney disease by administering infusions such as Aranesp, Feraheme, and Monoferric to help manage anemia, as well as NULOJIX, an immunosuppressive therapy used to help prevent organ rejection in adult kidney transplant recipients.

The 2026 theme, “Kidney Health for All: Caring for People, Protecting the Planet,” reminds us that kidney health and environmental health are deeply connected. Factors like air pollution, extreme heat, and dehydration can increase the risk of kidney disease — and as healthcare providers, we are equally mindful of delivering care responsibly and sustainably.

Today and every day, we are committed to expanding access, supporting patients through every step of their journey, and protecting the communities we serve.

March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, more than 2.8 million people are diagnosed with MS. MS impacts the brain and spinal cord, which make up the central nervous system. Although cases of MS vary widely, some of the symptoms associated with the disease include numbness, memory problems, fatigue, joint pain, spasms, and impaired movement.

Some of the treatments that Sage Infusion offers for patients with this disease are Brumivi, Ocrevus, Tyruko and Tysabri.

This March, (and every month) we stand in solidarity with those who experience MS.

Tip: If you’re experiencing symptoms of gout, don’t wait for pain to strike! 🦶💥 Take proactive steps to manage your condition by making dietary changes and consulting with your healthcare provider about medication options. Remember, early intervention can help reduce the severity of attacks and improve your quality of life. Your joints will thank you!

Gout is a type of arthritis caused by a buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints. Gout attacks can come on suddenly and are painful causing swelling and redness in the joints. March is Autoimmune Awareness Month

Did you know that over 50 million people in the U.S. are living with an autoimmune disease?

There are more than 100 known autoimmune conditions, including:
✔ Lupus
✔ Multiple Sclerosis
✔ Crohn’s Disease
✔ Thyroid Eye Disease
✔ Gout
✔ Rheumatoid Arthritis

Autoimmune diseases occur when the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells instead of protecting the body. For many, symptoms can be misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or invisible — yet they significantly impact daily life.

At Sage Infusion, we stand alongside organizations like the Autoimmune Association to help raise awareness, expand access to care, and support continued research for better treatments.

If you or a loved one is navigating an autoimmune condition, we’re here to help.

💙 Managing Transthyretin (TTR) Amyloidosis 💙

TTR amyloidosis is a progressive condition caused by abnormal protein buildup in organs—most often the ❤️ heart and 🧠 nerves. There are two main types:

Hereditary ATTR (hATTR): genetic form affecting heart, nerves, kidneys

Wild-type ATTR (wtATTR): age-related form mainly impacting the heart

✨ Management Tips
✅ Stay informed about your diagnosis
✅ Track symptoms like fatigue, swelling, or numbness
✅ Follow a heart-healthy, low-sodium diet
✅ Take prescribed treatments (like Amvuttra) consistently
✅ Ask about genetic testing for family members (for hATTR)
✅ Schedule regular heart and nerve checkups

At Sage Infusion, we partner with providers to administer advanced treatments like Amvuttra in a comfortable, serene environment by nurse practitioners focused on clinical excellence and compassion 💙

💡To enhance your management of these conditions, we invite you to explore practical tips available at https://sageinfusion.com/2025/09/29/managing-transthyretin-ttr-amyloidosis/
