You just got the “all-clear” for some hanky-panky from your doctor... Yes, you! The one who just gave birth about six weeks ago. Are you excited and ready to rush into the bedroom like it’s a Black Friday sale, or are you thinking your doctor is insane to even mention your name and s*x in the same sentence at this point? Or maybe you’re wondering if something is wrong with you because even thinking about s*x makes you want to cry?

You hear your doorbell ring. You open your door, and there it is—the box (VERY BIG BOX) containing all the medications you have been waiting for to start your IVF journey. Overwhelming, isn’t it? So many different boxes, needles of all shapes and sizes—some medications needing to be kept cold, some you can’t even pronounce even if you really tried. What do you do with it all? I promise you, you’ve got this. After a couple of days, you will be a pro. But boy, does this little organizational idea come in handy!

The IVF process likely has you feeling so many emotions—from anxiety and confusion to glimmers of hope, excitement, and fear. This organizational idea, along with some IVF-themed stickers, may be just what you or someone else you know needs to find a little glimpse of joy as they begin what has likely already been a long and difficult journey to their little one 🤍.

What is your favorite IVF organizational tip/idea?!

Have you ever come across those posts comparing "what people think I'm grieving" to "what I'm actually grieving"? They shed light on the layers of loss following a miscarriage or pregnancy loss— yes, I lost my baby, which is unbearable enough, but losing my baby, has caused a ripple effect of other secondary losses. The realization of these unexpected losses often intensify an already overwhelming experience. Increasing awareness of these ripple effects can help us connect the dots, understand our thoughts and reactions, and pinpoint areas where we may need support. Let this serve as a gentle reminder: acknowledge the small steps you take daily, tune in to your body, promise yourself 5-10 minutes of self-care daily, and allow yourself to grieve both your baby and the secondary losses. It's courageous to seek help, and if you've been contemplating discussing this with someone, I'm here to walk alongside you. Click the link in the bio to schedule a consult with me. Remember, you are not alone.

A gentle reminder that daddies grieve too 🤍 A father’s grief may look different than momma’s - but that doesn’t mean he’s not grieving. Studies on the grief experience of fathers have found that:

- Men exhibit less intense and shorter lasting emotional distress than women, but are more likely to engage in unhealthy coping behaviors.

- Men experience and will identify experiencing more physical symptoms than emotions.

- Men face different challenges such as the expectation to support their female partner.

- Men report feeling overlooked by healthcare professionals.

- Men experience a lack is social recognition for their grief and their needs in the midst of grief.

I recognize that both mothers and fathers bear the emotional weight following a pregnancy loss. I’m here to provide support whether as a couple or individually.

Collectively, we can work towards healing and personal growth, nurturing both individual well-being and the special bond that defines your relationship.
