Advanced Bionics is hosting a free 1-hour educational webinar for patients, called “One Step Towards Better Hearing.” The first webinar will be live TODAY, July 16th at 4:00pm. This would be a wonderful experience for patients who are struggling with their hearing aids and could benefit from education beyond traditional amplification. This is AB’s effort to empower patients into the world of cochlear implants!

We are pleased to announce that on August 19th, 2024 Mickie Hamiter, MD will be joining Tampa Bay Hearing and Balance Center. Mickie J. Hamiter, MD graduated in 2013 from Louisiana State University Health Shreveport School of Medicine. He was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, a national organization of outstanding medical school students. Dr. Hamiter completed post-graduate residency training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. After residency training, Dr. Hamiter served as faculty at LSU Health Shreveport for 4 years. During this time, he was the associate otolaryngology residency program director and responsible for creating the educational curriculum for the ENT resident trainees. He then decided to pursue further training in Otology/Neurotology. Dr. Hamiter completed a two-year fellowship in Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base surgery at New York Presbyterian- Columbia/Cornell program in New York City. Dr. Hamiter will join the Tampa Bay Hearing and Balance Center August 2024.

• Cochlear Implant
• Bone Anchored Hearing Devices
