🌼 🪴 Last week, our Project Return Tampa artists celebrated National Plant a Flower Day in the most creative way—by painting and potting their very own flowers! With the help of our amazing interns Tiffany and Madeline, and Program Assistant Emma, members planted daisies and forget-me-nots 🌼💙

We love seeing creativity bloom in new ways, and we can’t wait to watch these flowers grow right alongside our artists’ talents.

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day fun at Project Return Tampa!

This week, our studio was full of creativity, community, and a little extra luck as we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day together! Our artists enjoyed festive treats and great company 💚

Creativity in Action at Project Return!

Last week in our art classes, members got creative making colorful beaded keychains and shrink plastic charms crafted from recycled plastic. It was amazing to see everyone’s creativity come to life while turning everyday materials into something fun and meaningful.

These classes are more than just art—they’re opportunities for self-expression, connection, and confidence-building in a supportive community. And judging by the smiles (and the awesome keychains!), our members had a great time.

Today we celebrate the incredible team behind Project Return.

On Employee Appreciation Day, we want to recognize the staff who show up every day with compassion, patience, and dedication to support our members on their recovery journeys. Their work goes far beyond daily tasks. They create a safe, welcoming space where individuals living with mental illness can build connections, express themselves, and rediscover purpose.

Because of their commitment, Project Return is more than a program. It is a community where people are seen, heard, and valued.

🧡 Today is Self-Injury Awareness Day (SIAD)—a global day dedicated to raising awareness about self-injury and reducing the stigma around mental health and emotional distress. This day encourages compassion, understanding, and open conversation so no one feels alone in their struggles. 🧡

At Project Return, we believe in the healing power of community and creative expression. Things like art can help us explore difficult emotions, connect with others, and find peace in vulnerability. For many of our members, Project Return is a safe space to express what might feel too heavy to put into words.

You matter. Your story matters.

Today, and every day, we stand with individuals who have experienced emotional pain, self-injury, or mental health challenges and affirm that healing and support are possible.

Love was in the air at Project Return this Valentine’s Day

We kicked off the celebration with an incredible Talent Show and Bucket Drumming session that had the whole room smiling, cheering, and feeling the rhythm. The creativity and courage our members share never cease to amaze us.

Next, members spent time crafting heartfelt Valentine’s Day cards for the people they care about most. From sweet notes to colorful designs, each card was a reminder of the power of connection and community.

We wrapped up the day the best way possible… with treats and cookies enjoyed together around the table.

Moments like these are what recovery in community looks like: creativity, laughter, friendship, and belonging.
