Toni loves watching vibrant new colors appear each time her brush glides across the canvas—and we love watching her confidence grow with every piece she creates. 🌈

Sometimes she even adds poetry to her abstracts, reminding us that art can be both expression and empowerment.

Every day Toni joins us at Project Return, she creates two or three new abstract pieces—each one a step toward focus, calm, and self-expression. 💛

Painting helps her relieve stress and stay grounded, and you can feel that energy in her dynamic blends of color, movement, and meaning.

Our December Artist of the Month is Toni, an abstract artist whose creativity shines brighter every day she’s with Project Return. ✨

Like Picasso, Toni finds freedom in creating something from nothing—blending colors, exploring new ideas, and even pairing her art with her own poetry:

“The grass is green
I have no other means
It helps me have self-esteem.”

Her artwork is vibrant, dynamic, and a beautiful reflection of her journey.

🎨✨ Proud Moment — Sandro’s Art Featured at Stageworks Theatre! ✨🎨

We’re thrilled to share that we dropped off several pieces of art by our very own Project Return member Sandro at Stageworks Theatre — at their request! Stageworks will feature his work (along with pieces from other Hispanic artists) in connection with their upcoming production of Latin History for Morons, running December 5–21, 2025 in downtown Tampa.

This collaboration is a wonderful example of how art and community come together — and we couldn’t be prouder to see Sandro’s creativity shining!

We invite everyone — our members, supporters, friends and neighbors — to check out the show, support local theater, and celebrate the vibrant voices and talents that make our community stronger.

As we close out the day, we’re grateful for everyone who has supported Project Return through 40 years of community, compassion, and growth.

If you haven’t given yet, a gift of $40 tonight helps ensure our programs remain strong — providing stability, connection, and hope for adults living with mental illness.

Every gift matters. Every gift helps.

On this Giving Tuesday, we’re celebrating the people who make Project Return what it is — our members. 💚

For 40 years, Project Return has been a place where people living with mental illness find belonging, purpose, and encouragement. Programs like art, improv, job readiness, and wellness sessions have helped members build confidence, friendships, and life-changing skills.

When you give $40, you’re helping sustain these programs and ensuring our doors remain open to all who need us.

Join us this afternoon and be part of something meaningful: 👉 https://www.projectreturn.org/Make_A_Donation.html

This year is especially meaningful as Project Return celebrates 40 years of creating community, connection, and hope for people living with mental illness.

In honor of this milestone, we’re asking supporters to give $40 for 40 years — helping us continue offering art classes, life skills, peer support, and the welcoming environment our members depend on. 💚

From Canvas to T-Shirts – Art That Brings Joy

José believes that art should live everywhere — on walls, on shirts, and most importantly, in smiles. 😊

As a talented mixed media artist, José loves exploring new techniques and styles. From abstract paintings inspired by Dalí’s surreal worlds to hand-painted fabric t-shirts, his creativity knows no bounds. Each piece is a reflection of his journey, his imagination, and his desire to share joy through art.

Let’s celebrate José’s gift for turning everyday moments into works of beauty. 🌈
