To laugh is to risk appearing a fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement,
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To live is to risk dying,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
But he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live.
Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom.
Only a person who risks is free. ~Leo Buscaglia

One of my favorites. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.

Khalil Gibran Love and marriage

Foolish is the person, the prophet says, who 'would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure', for to wish this leads to less of a person, who has seen less pain but also less pure joy. The prophet says: "When love beckons to you, follow him/Though his ways are hard and steep".

We cannot wish for love to reach only a certain measure, or to presume that we can direct the way its course, "for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course." As much as love allows for our growth, it also acts to prune us so that we grow straight and tall.

When questioned about marriage, the prophet departs from the conventional wisdom that it involves two people becoming one. A true marriage gives both people space to develop their individuality, in the same way that "the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow".

Recently I was surprised by a new client. She was 91 and wanted to stop worrying so much and be happier. She takes to heart what we work on, learns and tries her best to incorporate the insights. She has proven to be an inspiration and taught me that you are NEVER too old to improve your attitudes as long as you have intention!
Let's all keep striving to be better. Love the Life you live!

From the Dahli Lama.

Like anyone else, I too have anger in me. However, I try to recall that anger is a destructive emotion. I remind myself that scientists now say that anger is bad for our health; it eats into our immune system. So, anger destroys our peace of mind and our physical health. We shouldn't welcome it or think of it as natural or as a friend.

Don't forget if you have trouble with your anger i can help.

BE AT PEACE WITH YOURSELF AND ALL ELSE WILL FALL INTO PLACE

These are challenging times. Many give fear their energy. The emotions we feed can weaken us or make us stronger. Please Pay attention to what you focus on (what you feed.) Try to stay positive and feed your resilience and strength.

As Christopher Robin said to Pooh: ...You're Braver Than You Believe, and Stronger Than You Seem and Smarter Than You Think and Loved More Than You Know.

So be Brave, be Strong, be Smart and know you are Loved.

I was pleased to be interviewed by Tamika at WTSP, 10 news recently about how to cope through the Corona Virus crisis. Clear, reasonable information, being aware and using the precautions suggested will help you and those you love get through this. Stay safe and healthy.
Liz.
