USF Center for Social Marketing

USF Center for Social Marketing The USF Center for Social Marketing empowers students and communities to improve public health.

The Florida Prevention Research Center focus is on Community-Based Prevention Marketing: Building Local Capacity for Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. Community-Based Prevention Marketing is a community directed social change process that applies marketing theories and techniques to the design, implementation and evaluation of health promotion and disease prevention programs. Currently the Florida Prevention Research Center has established collaboration with a coalition involving leaders from the Tampa Bay Community Cancer Network, Florida Department of Health, American Cancer Society, Florida Colorectal Cancer Control Program, and Community Health Worker Coalition, local county health units in the Tampa Bay area, community members, and service providers, including Federally Qualifies Health Clinics. This purpose of this collaboration is to use evidence-based research to increase colorectal cancer screening in the state of Florida.
