🌴 Located in Tampa, the program offers hands-on clinical training, dedicated faculty mentorship, and access to a robust academic health system.

April is National Donate Life Month! We are honored to support patients and families in their organ donation decisions. Just as trees grow and support one another, donation connects people—donors, recipients and families—creating legacies of hope and life that stand for generations.

In recognition of this special month and in honor of all those who chose the gift of donation, we held an honorary flag raising in the hospital courtyard.

We also recently celebrated National Donate Life Month Blue & Green Spirit Week! We honored donors and gave hope to those waiting for a second chance at life.

During National Robotics Week, we want to spotlight all the robotic technology that BayCare uses to help bring quality, compassionate care to our community!

BayCare is a leader in minimally invasive surgery, with more than 75 robotic surgical systems in our 16 hospitals that assist on procedures across urology, gynecology, thoracic, colorectal, bariatrics, orthopedic, neurological and pulmonary specialties – plus general surgery. Some of these systems enhance surgical precision by using advanced navigation to create real-time 3D maps, supporting greater accuracy and safer, more personalized care. In addition to surgical robots, there are assistive robots across BayCare that help with pharmacy and lab deliveries as well as aiding in our supply chain process.

At St. Joseph’s Hospital alone, we have 11 robotic-assisted surgical systems. We are proud to offer innovative, advanced care with the use of minimally invasive and precise technology for the benefit of our patients.

Easter is the most important day in the Christian liturgical year. It commemorates and celebrates the central belief of the Christian faith - the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Today, starts the beginning of the Easter season of the liturgical year. In the Catholic Church, the Easter season continues for 50 days, through the Ascension of Our Lord to Pentecost Sunday, seven full weeks after Easter Sunday.

St. Joseph’s Hospital is taking an important step forward for patients across West Central Florida.

BayCare is developing a solid organ transplant program—beginning with kidney transplantation—at our Tampa hospital. Anticipated to begin in 2027, the program will help more patients receive lifesaving transplant care close to home.

This effort reflects our commitment to expanding access to highly specialized care and improving the health of the communities we serve.
