BayCare provided four patients without insurance a wonderful holiday gift – a free joint replacement! 💙 Learn how BayCare’s Orthopedic Institute partnered with local non-profit medical clinics Clearwater Free Clinic , St. Petersburg Free Clinic and Operation Walk USA to provide these local residents with a life-changing holiday gift below!

BayCare physicians provided four free joint replacement surgeries for patients without insurance as part of a national charitable program.

We welcome the arrival of the holiday season with our annual tree blessing in the lobby of our medical office building. Songs were sung and good times were had!

Team members and their families also enjoyed our annual holiday party this week with hot chocolate and treats galore.

We’re thrilled to announce that the state of Florida has officially recognized St. Joseph’s Hospital as a behavioral health teaching hospital. Read how the new BayCare Behavioral Health Teaching Hospital at St. Joseph’s, in partnership with the FSU College of Medicine’s Center for Behavioral Health Integration, are working together to train the next generation of behavioral health professionals!

Addressing West Central Florida’s ongoing behavioral health needs, the State of Florida has designated BayCare’s St. Joseph’s Hospital as a behavioral health teaching hospital. The move reinforces BayCare’s commitment to advancing behavioral health care throughout the region.

⚽ Big-time soccer is coming to our backyard tonight! The U.S. Men’s National Team will face Uruguay in an international friendly at Raymond James Stadium—just steps from our hospital.

We’re proud to share that Dr. Kevin Elder, a sports medicine physician with BayCare Medical Group Adult and Pediatric Sports Medicine, is one of the team doctors supporting the USMNT. Dr. Elder brings decades of experience caring for elite athletes, including his work with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the U.S. Ski Team.
