Presented without (much) comment. Just reflect on this idea for a moment.
Realize: You may fear/worry about the outcome, the circumstances, and the judgement that may come, but you ALWAYS have POWER to choose.
ALWAYS.
Things may get a little unconventional..but ALWAYS!

Given ’s LOOOOOONG IG hiatus I feel this is especially relevant! ?!? It is not uncommon to feel there isn’t enough time.. But here’s the thing.. There’s both always enough time AND never enough time.

There is ALWAYS enough time because through your own will, determination, and perseverance you will accomplish exactly what you are supposed to accomplish each day. There are a limited number of hours in a day. Somewhere in there you must (at the very least) eat and sleep! The day is but so long and you will always accomplish as much as you can on that particular day.

The reason there is also NEVER enough time is because, unfortunately, we often place unrealistic expectations on ourselves regarding HOW MUCH we SHOULD accomplish in any particular span of time.

Bottom line: your path belongs to you and you alone. It’s route and time to destination is determined by your unique set of skills, challenges, resources, unexpected bumps, personal desires, wants, wishes, and preferences that are unique to you. This is why comparison to others’ “goals”, “accomplishments” and beating yourself up for not being at the same place as others is an exercise in futility. Unless they reveal it, you genuinely have no clue what goals, desires, etc they may have feel that need to accomplish. No one can FORCE their path to move faster. And no one can *sustainably* regularly FORCE themselves to do more than they are capable of in any one finite span of time. Continuously attempting to do so and beating yourself up for not meeting these arbitrary goals becomes a source of self-doubt, distress, anxiety, and burnout.. Surely, there’s nothing wrong with looking to others for inspiration. However, BEWARE, there is a thin line between observation for inspiration and observation for degradation (of self). To to that end, do what YOU can. Do the best that YOU can given your unique circumstances. .. and whatever you are unable to do today, know that there’s always tomorrow to keep plugging away at creating the life you want for yourself. ❤

Ever thought of 𝒮𝒯𝑅𝐸𝒮𝒮 as 𝒢🌸💮𝒟 𝒯𝐻𝐼𝒩𝒢❀?!?
We often wish we were stress-free! Today I want to flip the script on that concept.. Because believe it or not, the experience of "stress" can be a good thing!
🤔Think about it. Stressful life experiences are necessary for learning. In school, stressful exams test and verify our knowledge. At work, states of stress make us more alert and attentive to what we are doing. In the right dose, stressful states give us the energy to put our best foot forward or if necessary escape danger (thanks adrenaline!). Imagine if a rabid dog was coming at you, full speed and you felt no stress, no worries at all!! 😳That would NOT be a good thing!!
Stressful situations can also help us recognize and learn things about ourselves, by teaching us both about what we LIKE, what we DON'T LIKE. Experiencing stress can also be a way of the body alerting us that we are in an unhealthy situations or circumstance - that is, it may be a signal that something is out of whack and we need to take better care of ourselves! And when we prevail in stressful circumstances, looking back at what we've made it through has the power to push the limits of what we believed we were capable of.
So, the next time your are feeling stress remember its not always a bad thing! You just might learn something new about yourself or be surprised at how resilient you truly are.

(fun random fact: I initially accidentally posted this before I was ready.. typos and formatting problems galore..guess who was stressed!?! But I learned some new tricks in the process of fixing it! 😩😂😂)

AYA

Known for it's ability to grow and flourish in tough and adverse conditions, the “aya” or fern, represents endurance and resourcefulness during difficult times. The word "aya" is also associated with themes of strength, creativity, beauty, hope, and goodness. In addition to ethical, personalized, professional, and conscientious treatment, these are the guiding principles of practice at Aya Psychological and Wellness Services, LLC. Aya Psychological and Wellness Services ,LLC exists to help clients who are experiencing psychological distress and/or symptoms typically associated with mental health conditions to develop the tools to overcome those symptoms, such that they do not interfere with client’s ability to function in their day to day lives. The end goal is to alleviate symptoms to the point that that they no longer hinder the client from achieving their goals, which may be psychological, intrapersonal (i.e., within self desires/goals such as self-esteem, sense of self), physical, medical, or interpersonal.

Dr. Kenya L. King, PhD, owner of Aya Psychological and Wellness Services, LLC takes immense pride in helping clients achieve (or if necessary, identifying!) their psychological wellness goals.
