Happy April Work Anniversaries to Kennedy, Nicole, and Tanya!

Kennedy is celebrating 2 years with Lama and has had such an exciting year, passing her BCBA exam on the first try and truly shining as a new BCBA.

Nicole continues to do amazing things as an RBT and also became an SLPA this year while continuing her master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Tanya passed her RBT exam this year and continues to grow in her journey with hopes of becoming a COTA.

Five years ago, I asked my clients, who I had been traveling to for two years, if they would come to me if I opened an office. I remember telling my husband I felt ready… but also completely terrified of overhead and the “what ifs.”
He convinced me to start with just a six-month lease, confident I’d outgrow it before I knew it and he was right.

From that small room, we grew into our own office suite… and eventually into owning our own building.

Growth is scary. It’s uncertain. But with a plan, patience, and a little courage, it can turn into something better than you imagined.
Things don’t have to happen fast to be successful.

🌟 Therapist Spotlight: Ms. Sofia, RBT 🌟

Ms. Sofia has been part of the Lama Pediatric Therapy team since January 2026, and she brings such a calm, supportive presence to her sessions.

Her specialty is pairing with clients, building strong, trusting relationships that set the foundation for meaningful progress. She loves incorporating sensory-based tools like the sensory swing, weighted blankets, and sensory room to support regulation and engagement.

Favorite therapy tools: Sensory swing, weighted blanket, sensory room
Go-to caffeine: Homemade matcha
Fun fact: She used to figure skate competitively!
