CFBHN's Kent Runyon and Jason Saffels had a great time representing the community at a special event in Pasco County on Monday, March 30. They attended a housing dedication hosted by Vincent House Pasco, with partners Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative and Congressman Gus Bilirakis.

The highlight of the day was touring four newly constructed independent living homes located on-site near the clubhouse, with even more homes planned for the future. These developments represent meaningful progress in expanding supportive, independent housing options within the community.

We’re proud to see continued collaboration and investment in housing that empowers individuals to live independently and thrive. 💙

The Behavioral Health Stakeholders’ Consortium (BHSC) is a powerful collaboration of over 70 dedicated partners working together to strengthen our community’s behavioral health system. They recently met March 20, 2026, for their regular monthly meeting.

From service providers and local hospitals to law enforcement, the courts, schools, housing organizations, funders—and even individuals with lived experience—BHSC brings diverse voices to one table with a shared mission: better care for all.

This dynamic group tracks trends, tackles challenges head-on, and sparks action. When new issues emerge, specialized workgroups step in to develop innovative, solution-focused strategies that drive real, lasting impact.
Together, we’re not just responding to needs—we’re shaping a stronger, more responsive behavioral health system for our community.

Luis Rivas, VP of Behavioral Health Services for CFBHN, attended the Academy at Glengarry March 12 event Field of Dreams in Sarasota. He heard Ray attest to the value of being a Clubhouse member.

"A year ago, I couldn’t say I loved the life I was living. Today, I can. Instead of staying stuck, I spend my days at the Academy—growing, contributing, and connecting. It’s not perfect, but it’s meaningful. For the first time, I feel like I’m home." - Ray

Mental health is a team sport. With the right support, people don’t just recover—they lead, thrive, and find purpose. Sometimes, it starts with taking a chance and letting others in. The Academy at Glengary and Academy at Bradenton empower adults on their mental health journey through community, skill-building, and real pathways to employment—guided by the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.

CFBHN is proud to support both the Academy at Glengary in Sarasota as well as the Academy at Bradenton

At the March 10, 2026 Community Alliance Meeting of Hillsborough County, CFBHN’s Family Systems Program Manager, Misty Ross along with Success for Kids Director, Erin McKinley delivered a collaborative presentation to a local child welfare community group, highlighting Multisystemic Therapy (MST) services funded through CFBHN.

Multisystemic Therapy is an intensive, evidence-based program designed to support youth with complex behavioral health needs who are at risk of out-of-home placement. MST works directly with families in their homes and communities, focusing on strengthening family relationships, improving youth behavior, and helping caregivers build the skills needed to support long-term success.

Through strong partnerships with child welfare and community providers, MST helps keep youth safely in their homes while connecting families to the resources and support they need. The presentation sparked meaningful discussion about how these services can continue to support youth and families across our region.
