Meet Tara Martinson, one of the dedicated leaders serving on CFBHNโ€™s Board of Directors. With more than a decade of hands-on experience in program operations, quality improvement, and grant administration, Tara has played a key role in strengthening the behavioral health system across our region.

Tara is widely recognized as a natural connector, someone who brings people, data, and systems together to spark collaboration and drive meaningful change. Most recently, she served as co-lead for the 2024 Behavioral Health Asset Mapping Project, a major regional effort led by the Collaboratoryโ€™s Health and Wellness Coalition.

This project brought together over 200 community partners across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades counties to create a comprehensive GIS-based map of behavioral health services. Under Taraโ€™s leadership, the team identified critical service gaps, capacity challenges, and access barriers, insights that have already helped inspire community-driven solutions and system improvements.

We are grateful for Taraโ€™s expertise, vision, and commitment to improving behavioral health access and outcomes across Southwest Florida.
