Everyone, meet Chris, a PTA with six years of experience who has been part of the BGood team for nearly four months. Before becoming a PTA, Chris spent 10 years as a personal trainer, where he developed a passion for helping people become healthier and more mobile. This passion ultimately led him to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Since making the switch, Chris’s favorite part of the job has been seeing his patients improve their health and abilities. One of his most impactful experiences was working with brain and spinal cord injury patients—witnessing individuals with severe deficits accomplish things they once thought impossible left a lasting impression on him.
When asked what advice he would give to aspiring therapists, Chris encourages them to "try as many fields as you can and see what suits you best." He also emphasizes the importance of mindset in therapy, saying, "The mental aspect is more vital than the physical aspect. If you’re not mentally motivated or don’t have the right goals, your chances of success are a lot lower. Get your mind right, and your body will follow suit."
Originally from Ohio, Chris grew up playing multiple sports and later graduated cm laude from South College. When he’s not seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and being a proud "girl dad" to his 5-year-old daughter, Kinsley. A fun fact about Chris? He played ice hockey for over 20 years!
We’re so glad to have you on the team, Chris!
