For the past 8 months, I've been learning about the world of non-profit as the Executive Director of Resilience Across Borders. This weekend, we have our annual, in-person fundraiser - which we have planned to include -- networking, giveaways, funny moments, thank you and gratitude, hugs with colleagues we haven't seen in awhile, and serious discussions about children's mental health.

We aim to raise $20,000 to underwrite the Rooftop Benefit, bring RBP‑U to 800+ students across 10 schools, complete our randomized control trial data collection, expand to grades 3–5, grow community presentations, strengthen partnerships, and pilot Resilience in Art.

This month’s theme is Resilience in Connection! At the heart of resilience are relationships that foster belonging, offer support during adversity, and create the conditions for growth and well-being.

Whether in classrooms, families, or communities, connection plays a critical role in helping individuals navigate challenges, regulate emotions, and grow through adversity. When people feel supported and understood, they are better equipped to build resilience and thrive over time.
