About Better Life Supportive Services:
Better Life Supportive Services was founded in 2014 by Dr. Valona Mitchell-Weston. Better Life Supportive Services is dedicated to enhancing the mental health and well-being of individuals, couples, and families. Better Life Supportive Services, strive to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where clients can achieve self-sufficiency, develop healthier relationships, and improve their overall quality of life. Whether facing life transitions, emotional struggles, or behavioral challenges, our goal is to guide individuals toward personal growth and long-term success.
With over 19 years of experience in mental health counseling, Dr. Mitchell-Weston established this practice to provide compassionate, high-quality care to those who may not otherwise have access to the support they need. Dr. Mitchell-Weston, supports and encourage clients as they take the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive—because she believes everyone deserves a Better Life.
Dr. Mitchell-Weston holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, along with dual Master’s Degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. Her extensive background includes working in mental health, social work, addiction recovery, case management, juvenile justice, and family therapy. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a deep commitment to community outreach, crisis intervention, and holistic care.

She also has extensive experience in Supervised Visitations, Family Reunification and is Adoption Competent Trained, ensuring that families navigating the adoption process receive informed and supportive care.
