Tappahannock Lions Club

Tappahannock Lions Club The Tappahannock Lions Club was chartered by Lions Club International in January 1942. Our sponsoring club is Fredericksburg Lions Club. Everyone welcome.

The Tappahannock Lions Club provides free hearing and sight screenings for Essex & Richmond County public schools, day cares in the area and at the Tappahannock Free Clinic. We meet every 3rd Tuesday of each month at Roma's in Tappahannock. 6:00 pm is Social, 6:30 pm Dinner, and 7:00 Meeting begins.

It is with great sadness to report that Lion George Butler Elliott was departed this life on August 11. Lion George has been a member since 1981 and a Melvin Jones Fellow. He held many positions in our club and was a life member.

We will be holding our annual Golf for Sight Golf Tournament on April 25th at Hobbs Hole in Tappahannock. All starts at 8:00 am with breakfast and practice. Captain Choice at 9 am. Lunch, 50/50 Raffle, door prizes, and awards after a full day of golf. Beverage of your choice all day. 4 person team $260. If you want to sponsor a hole and have a team $360. Individual $65, we will put you on a team. So come on out for a fun day. All proceeds go to the many programs of your Lions.
