FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Santa Claus Requests AHAD For Assistance
December 24, 2025

The Atchison-Holt Ambulance District has received a very special call for service this evening when Santa Claus himself has requested our assistance during his Christmas Eve operations.

Due to the forecasted dense fog over our ambulance district this evening Santa told us he did not feel that Rudolph’s red nose was enough lighting for his sleigh to operate safely.

“Santa asked if he could use our newest ambulance with his reindeer to deliver presents to all the boys and girls in our district safely,” said Chief Mays. “He was extremely appreciative of our ambulance district supporting him in this very important mission!”

If you happen to see our ambulance flying through the air tonight with lights flashing, don’t be alarmed!

The Atchison-Holt Ambulance District reminds the public that whether it’s Christmas Eve or any other night of the year, our crews are always ready to respond — even to the North Pole’s finest.

Merry Christmas from all of us at the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District.

It’s come to our attention that there’s a big game in Atchison County tonight between the East Atchison Wolves and the Rock Port Blue Jays.

While our ambulances do have blue on them and no orange, black or silver we want to ensure that you know we remain a neutral party in this rivalry!

Let’s have a safe and exciting game under the Friday night lights!

GO TEAMS! 🏈

Coming soon to the District! We are pleased to announce that we have received our remounted 2008 Wheeled Coach box on a new Ram chassis from Pinnacle Emergency Vehicles. We loved this box but we were told by other companies it couldn't be remounted Pinnacle accepted the challenge and did an amazing job!

The best part is that Chief Mays was able to secure a grant that covered 95% of the purchase price last year which saved us and the tax payers $200,000 of the purchase price.
