This Christmas was one of the most beautiful gifts Jesus has ever given me, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude.
There was a time when my life was marked by brokenness and distance. After my mom passed away, my family fell apart, and I went down a path that led me far from the people I loved and far from who God created me to be. For over fifteen years, I was completely disconnected from my family, having no communication with them. Holidays were especially hard—I spent them sleeping, trying to escape the pain of feeling alone due to my lifestyle immersed in substance abuse.
But Jesus never stopped pursuing me.

When I gave my life to Christ at Adult & Teen Challenge SNE, everything began to change. Jesus met me with grace, strength, and freedom. Three weeks later, I went to the program in NJ where He continued the deep work of transformation in my heart. Then I returned to SNE for six more months, and it was there that the leaders loved me through some of the hardest days, speaking truth over me when I couldn’t see it myself, and showing me that love could break through even the deepest walls of pain and shame I had built.

He didn’t just change my life—He began restoring what I had broken so badly. My brother and sister came alongside me with love and support, and through Jesus, our relationships are continuing to heal and rebuild.

This Christmas, I experienced a miracle of restoration. I was able to celebrate Christmas with my entire family for the first time ever. My brother, his wife, and my seven nieces and nephews traveled from Guatemala, and my sister, her husband, and my two nephews were there as well. For the first time, I got to laugh, play, and share life with my nieces and nephews. I got to be the aunt I had always dreamed of being.

A holiday that once held loneliness and pain became filled with joy, laughter, and love. Jesus replaced what was empty with abundance. I felt deeply loved, welcomed, and surrounded by family, and I saw the faithfulness of Jesus in every moment—especially through the smiles, hugs, and joy of my nieces and nephews.

This Christmas was a powerful reminder that Jesus is a God of restoration and joy. He turns ashes into beauty, mourning into dancing, and broken stories into testimonies of hope. What once felt lost has been redeemed, and I give all the glory to Jesus.

✨My heart (Deborah) as Angela’s Director✨
Reading these words, I am undone. This is why we do what we do. This is the reason I said yes when God called me into this ministry. When I made the decision to let her go home for Christmas, I prayed it would be healing—but I could never have imagined the magnitude of what Jesus would accomplish in those few days.
Fifteen years of silence. Fifteen Christmases spent in isolation and addiction. And now, in one redemptive moment, Jesus didn’t just give her a nice holiday—He gave her back her family, her identity, and a future filled with the love she thought she’d lost forever.

I watched her journey from the very beginning—from the moment she surrendered her life to Jesus at SNE, through her time in our NJ program, and then back here for another six months of intensive discipleship and healing. At every stage, our leaders poured into her relentlessly. Day after day, they spoke truth when she couldn’t see it herself, held her accountable when she wanted to give up, and believed in the woman God was creating even when she was still becoming. They showed her that she was worth fighting for, that her story wasn’t over, and that Jesus had so much more in store for her than she could imagine. That consistent, unwavering, Christ-centered love created the foundation for everything God is doing in her life now. Love broke through.

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to God for His faithfulness, not just to her, but to all of us who get to witness His miraculous work. Every day in this ministry, we sow seeds in faith, trusting that God will bring the harvest. And testimonies like this remind me that He always does—in His perfect timing and in ways that exceed our wildest dreams.
This is more than a success story. This is the Gospel made visible. This is proof that no one is too far gone, no relationship too broken, no pain too deep for Jesus to heal. I am honored beyond words to have played even a small role in her journey, and I’m so proud of the woman she is becoming.

✨To everyone reading this✨
Please pray for Angela as she continues to walk in this freedom. Pray for her family as they continue to rebuild trust and relationship. And if you’re in a place of brokenness right now, let this testimony be a beacon of hope—Jesus is pursuing you too, and He specializes in restoration.

This is what redemption looks like. And it is beautiful.

Yesterday, both the Adult and Teen Challenge Southern New England Women’s Home and the Northern New England Women's Home celebrated Christmas together, and I’m still overwhelmed by the beauty of what I witnessed.

There’s something profoundly moving about watching women who’ve walked through darkness absolutely light up with joy—laughing like children, dancing without inhibition, their faces glowing with a freedom many of them haven’t felt in years. We ate together, we celebrated together, and most importantly, we worshiped together, grateful for this life that God has so graciously given us.

We were especially blessed to have our sisters from the Northern New England Women’s Home join us for this celebration. What a joy it was to come together, to share in this special day, and to witness the beautiful bond that forms when women on similar journeys unite in faith and fellowship. These moments of connection remind us that none of us walk this path alone, and we’re so grateful we can gather together for occasions like this.

I know the holidays can be especially difficult for these precious women who are separated from their families and the people they love. But in those moments today, God’s presence was undeniable. He showed each one of them—and all of us—just how abundantly we are loved.

Yes, watching them open their gifts was a blessing beyond words. But the real gift wasn’t wrapped in paper. It was the healing happening right before our eyes. It was the creation of new, healthy memories to replace the painful ones. It was the miracle of being fully present—something that wasn’t always possible in their past lives. It was watching them discover, maybe for the first time, that they are worthy of celebration, of joy, of love.
Jesus has this incredible way of wrapping us in His love and shattering every lie the world has told us about who we are. These women are not defined by their past. They are not their mistakes. They are not their struggles.

They are His. They are loved. They are More Than Conquerors.

To everyone who donated, volunteered, supported, or helped in any way to make this Christmas unforgettable for these beautiful ladies—thank you from the depths of our hearts. Your generosity didn’t just provide gifts; it provided hope, dignity, and tangible proof that they matter. They deserve every bit of love that was poured out today, and you made that possible.

From all of us at the Adult and Teen Challenge Southern New England and Northern New England Women’s Homes, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. May you feel the same abundant love that filled our home today.

🎄Christmas Trip Testimony🎄

I would like to thank the staff and donors who made this trip possible for all the residents. This trip was extremely generous, and I am so thankful to be able to have a part of this experience. This would not have been possible without the grace of God, the love of the staff of ATCNE, and most importantly, all of the donors that made this possible.
It was an incredible moment, where all of the ATC centers were able to combine to meet each other, get to know one another, and have fellowship together. I was able to meet other women from the different centers and was blessed to hear their trials and testimonies. We all came into the program, lost, broken, feeling helpless and hopeless, but we were all able to come together for one night and day to just praise the Lord and this wouldn’t have been possible at all without God‘s blessing.
At dinner, we were all instructed to sit next to people that we did not know or have not met yet, not to sit next to our friends or the women from our home. I had an opportunity to connect with an older lady from the New Jersey home and we shared so much laughter from jokes to just pure happiness of getting to know each other. We got to talk about our families, children, career, life, and the trials in our life that led to where we currently are. It was such a blessing to be able to meet more women than just the circle of our home and to realize that so many others are going through struggles just like I am. There were no judgments, just understanding and love and so much encouragement. Being part of a group of 24 amazing women and going through what I am, and yet we can all uplift each other. It is beyond my imagination.
The sense of community of all of the women rallying together professing their love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ created such a warmth in me that has been missing for so long. I experienced so many tears of joy with the ladies and have so many memories of happiness. We danced in the middle of the street in front of the Rockefeller tree, that image will forever be with me. I came into this program, kicking, screaming, and not wanting to be here, but this season of my life, I am so thankful to be able to be a part of such an amazing ministry. If I knew that in my younger years about moments like these of having people that care about me and celebrate me, I would tell little me:
You are good enough
You are loved
You will never be forsaken
Looking back and imagining all of the scenes from the Rockette show, the one scene that stood out to me the most was the nativity scene. It was so beautiful and glorified the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It serves as a reminder that God loves us so much that he sent his only son to die for us - That whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have an eternal life. Thank you to all! To the donors that made it possible, to the staff that devote their time to each of our journeys and to the leaders who have love and vision and continue to help all of us who are struggling to find Jesus.
Thank You

We have asked everyone who attended our Women’s Home’s Christmas getaway to write a testimony so we could share with those who have partnered with us to make this trip happen …
✨Bridget✨ who will be moving into the Women’s Director position in NJ shared these thoughts ….

There are moments when God allows us to step back and see His heart in motion — and this weekend was one of those holy momendts. To be blessed with an overnight stay at the Stamford Marriott, to share lunch at the best little diner in town, to sit together at Americano for dinner, to wake up to Starbucks coffee, and then to travel into New York City to watch the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and stand before the tree at Rockefeller Center…

These are not just activities. They are testimonies of restoration. Many of these women haven’t had a Christmas in years — some in decades. Some cannot remember the last time they felt safe during the holidays, let alone celebrated. Others have never been treated gently, kindly, or extravagantly since they were little girls… and some never experienced it at all. But this weekend, I watched something sacred unfold. I watched women — who once believed they were forgotten — begin to smile again. I watched daughters of God — who have carried shame, sorrow, and survival for far too long — look around with eyes full of awe, as if they were seeing the world in color again. I watched them stand in places they never imagined they’d be, dressed and held and honored like the royalty God always intended them to be. Their eyes glistened not just because of city lights, but because hope was waking back up inside them. And that, to me, is the greatest joy of all.

To see them enjoy these moments… to see them laugh, to see them talk freely, to watch their shoulders drop as they realized they were safe, loved, and worthy of something beautiful — that is the true gift.

That is the part that fills my heart until it overflows. Because all of this, every single detail, was a reminder of who God is.
-A Father who restores.
-A Savior who redeems.
-A Shepherd who leads us beside still waters — even if those waters look like hotel pools, city lights, warm meals, or the magic of Christmas we thought we’d never feel again.

This weekend wasn’t about luxury. It wasn’t about the Marriott or the dinner or the show in New York. It was about God whispering to His daughters: “You are mine. You are worth celebrating. You are worth joy. You are worth beauty. You are worth love.”

And what humbles me the most… is that He lets me be part of that. He allows me to witness their healing, their softening, their rediscovery of delight. He lets me watch their hearts open a little more each day. Their happiness — their joy — is the greatest blessing I could ever receive. To see them be treated like princesses, after lives that told them they were anything but… To watch them experience a Christmas they never thought they would have… To see them lift their heads and stand a little taller — because someone believed they deserved goodness…

That is where I see Jesus most clearly. Not in the lights, not in the decorations, not even in the show — but in their smiles. For it is written, “He gives beauty for ashes.” And this weekend, we got to watch that beauty unfold right before our eyes.

Thanks be to God — for His mercy, His provision, His surprises, and the way He restores hearts one joy-filled moment at a time.
Thank you for experiences like these that remind ME of how I once was treated and thought of myself, as a testimony of all Jesus has done in my life and how much He has truly rescued a wretch like me.

Morgan’s journey was marked by trauma, homelessness, and years of addiction. At her lowest moment, ready to give up, she felt God whisper that her life still had purpose. She came to the Southern New England Women’s Home and found healing, freedom, and hope she never thought possible.

Tyler’s addiction began quietly. What started with small compromises eventually spiraled into a full op**te dependency that cost him his marriage, his stability, and nearly his future. When everything collapsed, he came to Adult and Teen Challenge, where God restored his life and set him on a solid foundation.

Today, Tyler and Morgan are married, sober, serving at Adult and Teen Challenge, and building a life rooted in faith, stability, and purpose. Their story is living proof that God can redeem the deepest brokenness.

Sara’s journey was marked by trauma, abuse, addiction, and deep pain. Years of searching for relief led her into dangerous relationships and he**in use that nearly took her life. After being freed from an abusive situation, she entered Adult & Teen Challenge in 2015. There she encountered God’s love, found healing from her past, earned her GED, and rebuilt her life on a foundation of hope. She is a director of a program overseeing the care of adults with disabilities.

Eric’s addiction began in high school and slowly escalated from weekend drinking to daily pills, then he**in. His life unraveled through arrests, overdoses, and the heartbreak of watching friends die from the same choices he was making. In 2016 he walked through the doors of Adult & Teen Challenge, surrendered his life to God, and everything changed. He rebuilt his faith, found purpose, and eventually joined our staff, serving with the gifts God restored in him. In addition to being the head of IT & Graphics, Eric enjoys helps ministries and Christian artists with their media production.

Today, Eric and Sara are married, sober, thriving, and serving others with compassion. Their story is living proof that no life is too broken for God to restore.
