It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph “Jody” Wieckowski, 67, of Moosic, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for the outdoors, sports, golf, fishing, and the many traditions he created with friends — including his unforgettable “Jody-palooza” gatherings.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, February 23, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union Street, Taylor. Interment will be held privately at St. Mary’s Czestochowa Cemetery, Moosic.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

With heartfelt sympathy, we share the passing of Robert W. “Cy” Bonczek, 91, of West Scranton, who passed away surrounded by his loving family. A proud U.S. Army veteran, devoted family man, and friend to many, Cy will be remembered for his warm spirit and the love he shared with those around him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, February 18th from 4:00–6:00 PM, with a funeral service at 6:00 PM at Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union Street, Taylor. We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy “Dottie” Soltis O’Boyle early Wednesday morning.

Dottie will be remembered for her compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family and to the many lives she touched throughout her nursing career. From her early days at Community Medical Center to her work assisting in Labor and Delivery, caring for others was truly her life’s calling. She was a guiding light to all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, February 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union Street, Taylor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 17th at 10:00 am in St. Ann’s Basilica Parish, Scranton. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.

Richard W. Luther, 81, of Scranton, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026. A devoted husband, father, and friend, Richard will be remembered for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and deep love of family. He found joy in the outdoors, fly fishing, and crafting beautiful birdhouses that reflected his patience and creativity.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann; his sons, Christopher (Michele) and Jason (Maureen); and all who were blessed to know him.

A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis Street, Scranton, by the Reverend Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. Pastor, followed by interment in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly.

We are saddened to share the passing of Eugene “Gino” Robert Noon Jr., 61, who passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, after a long journey with dementia.

Gino loved golf, staying active, and spending time in warm weather. He will be remembered by his daughter, Aubrey (Jimmy); his son, Patrick; his beloved grandchildren, Avery, Rowan, and Viviana; and his dear friend, Margaret.

A graveside service will be held on February 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
