Reece Hogan

Reece Hunter Hogan, 32, of Austin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 9, 2025; and went home to be with his Lord and Savior.

Reece was born on November 9, 1993, in Austin to Ray and Wendy Hogan. He was the proud big brother to his only sister, Rilee Hogan; and an incredible father to Hunter Jax Hogan.

Reece’s greatest joy in life was being a father; he was an amazing daddy to the true love of his life, Hunter Jax Hogan, his only son. Their bond was rare and unmistakable and will never be broken. Reece cherished every single moment he had with his boy and the countless times they shared together. Their connection was built on profound love, trust, and protection. When Reece talked about Hunter, he had the biggest, brightest smile and he wanted nothing more than for Hunter to grow up knowing that his daddy loved him deeply. Hunter was Reece’s purpose in life, his motivation, and his strength. Anyone who knew Reece knew how proud he was to be Hunter’s daddy. They loved each other fiercely and unconditionally. Through memories they made and the love that Reece poured into his son’s life, Reece will always be in Hunter’s heart.

Reece was a kind person. He had a contagious laugh that could fill any room. He had a playful side and loved turning these moments into memories. He walked into a room of strangers and instantly became friends with those around him. Those who truly knew Reece know that family meant everything to him. Reece also had an extreme joy for the outdoors, hunting, fishing and the open road on his Harley.

Reece had many talents; he had a remarkable gift for fixing anything. His skill with tools was second to none, yet, his greatest career passion was boat fabrication. A craft he dedicated most of his adult life to. Reece also loved to play the guitar and sing with family and friends. Above all else, he was always willing to help others; he had a heart gold. All of these attributes and more are what makes Reece unforgettable. Reece’s talents and his generous spirit touched many lives, and he will be remembered always and forever in our hearts.

Reece was preceded in death by Judy Ford (Nano), Birdie Eskew (Memaw), and Sammy Eskew Sr. (Papa). And many others who went before him. Reece is survived by his parents, Ray and Wendy Hogan; sister, Rilee Hogan; his son, Hunter Jax Hogan; his daughter Everleigh. Also survived by aunts and uncles, and many first cousins who all loved him so much.

A private visitation for the family will be held November 18, 2025, 6-8pm. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. All services will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, TX. Burial - Taylor City Cemetery.

Clifford Joe Tomancak Sr.

Clifford Tomancak Sr. of Taylor, TX, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born on July 2, 1939, in East Bernard, Texas, Clifford was the son of Joe and Lillian Tomancak. He grew up with a deep appreciation for nature, family, and service—values that shaped the course of his life and left a lasting legacy. Clifford proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years, a time that instilled in him discipline, resilience, and strength that he carried throughout his life. Following his military service, he dedicated over 37 years to Alcoa, Inc. where he was known for his hard work, integrity, and strong commitment to his job.

Outside of work, Clifford found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He and his wife loved to dance and frequented the dance halls in their younger years as he was a member of the American Legion Post and Knights of Columbus. Also, he was so proud of his farm of 57 years where he was a jack of all trades. In addition, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved raising his farm animals of (cattle, chickens, pigs) as well as hunting deer, fishing, camping and tending to his garden. His green thumb brought plenty of fresh food to all those around him. One of his favorite pastimes was riding his Ford and later John Deere tractor—whether mowing the pasture or just taking a slow drive to admire the land he loved. That tractor wasn’t just a machine to him; it was a symbol of his pride and joy.

Clifford's love for his family was noticed by all when he attended his children's and later grandchildren's sports and activities. He enjoyed attending football games, baseball games, FFA events, and any activities that the kids were a part of. He also had a deep love for travel with his wife, Dorothy, and family. As a family, he enjoyed the adventures of travels to different parts of the U.S, in particular Vegas, Europe, Alaska, Mexico, and many cruises to the different Caribbean ports. A great memory for all of us as a young family, was taking our Sunday afternoon drives along the Texas country roads and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Such a simple and beautiful way of life for our family.

Clifford is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy, of 63 years and their four children: Clifford Tomancak Jr.(Paulinda), Melanie Busby (Robert), Cheryl Heitzman (Brian), and Jason Tomancak (Beth). His legacy continues through his 12 grandchildren: Calvin Tomancak, Kelsey Tomancak, Justin Busby, Brandon Busby, Nathan Heitzman, Brianna Heitzman, Natalie Tomancak, Hayden Tomancak, Connor Tomancak, Ellie Tomancak, and Chloe Tomancak and great-grandson, Wyatt, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Clifford’s life was a testament to his dedication, love, and lots of strength. In the last several years, he fought for his life, and now will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Clifford's 86 remarkable years on earth will be honored with a visitation at the Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Tx on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a Rosary service starting at 7:00pm. Celebration of Life Mass will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 at 2:00pm at St. Mary's Catholic Assumption Church (Taylor, Tx). Burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Busby, Justin Busby, Sidney Cox, Nathan Heitzman, Bryan Hendrickson, and Hayden Tomancak. Honorary Pallbearers are Dennis Moeller, Calvin Mikulencak, Herb Rosipal, and Nolan Werchan.

Rebecca 'Becky' Ann Custard

Our mother, Rebecca ‘Becky’ Ann Custard, 86, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025 after a brief illness. Mom was born on September 23, 1939 in Meadville, Pa to V. Tracy and Lena Marie ‘Chick’ Moffit. She attended St. Brigid’s Catholic School and St. Agatha High School, graduating in 1957.

Mom married our father, Randal D. Custard, on April 4, 1959. Mom became a military wife when Dad enlisted in the Air Force. Mom loved traveling and while living in Germany, she was able to visit many European countries, including Russia. Mom and Dad divorced in May 1985.

Our mother was truly unique and accomplished much in her lifetime. She was the heart and soul of our family. She easily made friends, loved her family and friends fiercely, holding all close to her heart.

Mom had four careers: raising her family, working at IRS, running the Hare Store, and working at the Taylor Daily Press.

Mom had many interests and volunteered her time with many groups. She loved reading, doing genealogy with Doug, playing cards and board games, especially Rummikub, solving jigsaw puzzles with her friend, Lauren, and embroidery (until her eyesight prevented her from making those tiny stitches). She taught herself to sew and made most of hers and her daughters’ clothes.

Mom later settled down in Thrall, living with her daughter, Kathy. In the last few years, she didn’t travel as much. However, Mom did go on many drives with Kathy, or her friend, Marge, exploring the central Texas area. Mom truly cherished the times when her children and grandchildren came to visit her.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, V. Tracy Moffit and Lena Marie “Chick” Moffit, her brother Michael Moffit, his wife, Carol, and their children, Michael Jr., Marlene, and James ‘Jimmy’ Moffit, her sister, Mary Helen and her husband, John Bovard, sister-in-law, Joyce Moffit; her children’s father, Randal D. Custard, his parents, Glenn and Helen Custard, his brother Kenny, sister-in-law, Sally, their daughter, Lee Ann and her son, Joey; brother-in-law, Ernie, and niece, Beth Ann.

Mom is survived by her children, Randal J. “Randy” (Sharon), Kathy, Christina “Tina” Curtis (Rob), Brian (Rhonda), Douglas, and David (Deb); grandchildren, Matthew, Brad, Ricky (Chelsie), Sarah, Katie (Ryan), Adam (Juanita), Josh (Kaitlyn), Emmalee, and Becca; and her great-grandchildren Sylis, Colton, Skylar, Olivia, Michele and Ethan. Mom is also survived by her brother, Patrick “Pat” Moffit, his children Tracy and Marcie (Shawn), her nephew Donnie (Kimberlie), ex-sister-in-law, Janet; numerous nieces and nephews from the Custard side, her friends, Marge, Lanamay, and many others (too many to name but each and every one meant so much to her).

To all who, if only briefly, touched Mom’s life, thank you for being part of her life. Our hearts may be heavy while we grieve our loss, we will celebrate all the wonderful memories we have as Mom will always be with us in our hearts.

Visitation on Nov 5 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., followed by Funeral Vigil with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home, Taylor. Funeral Mass on Nov 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Taylor, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Randy Michael Lee

Randy Michael Lee was born in San Antonio, Texas to Glenn and Mary Frances Lee.

Randy Lee was a man who loved to be with people and talk. He was fortunate in this fact as his primary profession as a lobbyist was a perfect fit for him. He also loved numbers so much, he worked his way through the University of Texas in Austin towards a degree in finance. After graduating, he held his first job as a banking loan clerk in Houston. Shortly after, he secured a position as a clerk for the Business Committee in the Texas House of Representatives in Austin where he met and married his wife, Sherry. For his achievements, he was awarded the position of Director for the 1986 Texas Sesquicentennial Commission. There he gave public presentations and worked with local groups around the state on projects for preservation of the history of Texas. With the tough economic times of the mid 1980’s in America, he took a job selling replica Texas historic flags to make ends meet for his newborn baby, Dallas. He was taken on and hired as a lobbyist for Stewart Title Guarantee Company where he continued to work for over 30 years. Moreover, he believed in the spirit of philanthropy and the well-being of all Texans by helping special interest groups in research, education, and people’s rights. He made friends in the often-hostile world of Texas politics and in many private industries throughout Texas and in other states.

After becoming independent in governmental relations, he launched his own company Randy Lee Public Affairs. During this time, he became a prime facilitator in securing the establishment and state funding for the Texas Tech University Veterinary School. Also, he became an advocate and business development leader for new Ph.D. programs at Texas State University. Randy was an avid fan of just about every collegiate sport UT has to offer, given that it was his alma mater. UT football games and tailgating, at Captain Dan’s was almost a religion. And, of course, basketball, baseball, camping, fishing, and golf were his other pastimes. Randy was extremely proud of his Norwegian ancestry and an active member of the Norwegian Society of Texas. In the last 18 years of his life, he enjoyed feeding his cows on his ranch in Bastrop County and generally becoming a weekend fixer of all the equipment which he likened to his therapy.

There are lots of kind and generous people in the world and Randy was one of them. He loved helping people get jobs, and he helped anyone with just about anything that they asked of him. He was fun to be around, and he loved good jokes. He adored his family; he cherished his son, Dallas, and had the greatest confidence in him and his talents. And last, but not least, he loved his wife of 45 years who to this day cannot believe that she was lucky enough that he wanted to marry her and stay with her through thick and thin. His friendship was a gift he gave to many, and many will find it hard to find a truer friend.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Lee, his mother, ‘Fran’ Lee, and his sister, Ann Lee.

His son is Dallas A. Lee, and his wife is Sherry L. Lee.

Services will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas on November 1st at 10:30AM with a viewing on October 31st from 10AM-2PM. He will be interred next to his family at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas.

Donations in his honor can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.

When it comes to his nephews, Demon, Kevin, Oday Jr., Gerald and Tederrial and niece Tanessa, dad would have a big Kool-Aid Smile on his face.

Derek William Francis Woollett

Derek William Francis Woollett was born in Austin, Texas on October 12, 1989 to Kimberley Noel Woollett and David William Paul Woollett. Derek departed us suddenly on October 14, 2025 at the age of 36. He brought warmth, curiosity, joy, and kindness to everyone who knew him with a happy smile.

Derek graduated from UT San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He worked at the United States Post Office, where his reliability and friendly nature made him well-liked by coworkers.

Beyond work, Derek was a country boy at heart and had a profound love for the outdoors. He found joy in playing disc golf in the woods, hiking, and fishing. He found fulfillment in sharing his love of the natural world with his daughter and partner, Addy and Diana. He found joy in sports medicine and fitness, trying out different methods with his younger brother, John.

Derek was drawn to learning and creating. You could often find him tinkering with hands-on projects - building computers and designing hydroponic systems. He was enthusiastic about football. He supported the UT Longhorns and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan — a commitment that taught him patience, humility, and the art of saying “maybe next year” with a straight face. As one of the oldest grandchildren, he dedicated time to introduce his cousins to his fondness for video games and paint ball, sometimes even as target practice. His love of video games extended into adulthood as you could often find him playing at all hours with his cousin, David and his brother, John.

Derek’s heart was as big as his generosity. He was always ready to lend a hand —helping build his parents’ home, supporting his mother through chemotherapy, and being there for friends and family whenever they needed him. He frequently assisted his father, David, in his business by helping with practical, hands-on projects, reflecting his helpful nature and love of creating. His greatest joy in life was his daughter, Addyson, who lit up his world. From magical trips to Disney World to joining her in her favorite games, Derek’s love and devotion as a father shone in everything he did.

Derek spent each summer in Pennsylvania visiting his grandparents, Francis and Christine Tagert, uncle Adam, great aunt Punkie (Priscilla), and great grandmother Mom-mom (Mary Tagert). His grandparents would take him to Phillies games, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the Baltimore Aquarium. He particularly enjoyed Granpa’s family trips, a noteworthy one was the road trip through Arizona. In adulthood, Derek took this joy of family trips from his childhood and implemented it with his partner and child, Diana and Addy.

Derek met the love of his life, Diana, in 2015. Together they shared a deep love for the outdoors, music, good food, and most importantly, their daughter. He was a devoted, loving, and caring father and partner whose warmth, generosity, and spirit will forever be remembered.

Derek is survived by his daughter, Addyson Woollett, his partner, Diana Loera, his mother and father, Noel and David Woollett, his brother, John Woollett, and his maternal grandmother, Christine Tagert; and many extended aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him deeply.
