Sharon Tolliver

Sharon Tolliver was born on August 23, 1963, in Taylor Texas, to Prince Ella Shaw and Eddie Baker. Her mother raised her with love, strength, and the unwavering support of her stepfather, Willie Shaw. From a young age, she displayed a vibrant spirit, a kind heart, and a natural ability to bring joy to those around her.

Whether it was her infectious laughter, her caring nature, or her ability to turn any moment into a cherished memory, Sharon was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She attended Taylor Schools, where she formed lasting friendships. A hardworking and determined woman, she pursued a career in Human and Social Services Management, where her dedication and passion left a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike. She was deeply committed to her work, always striving to uplift others and leave a positive mark on the world.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sharon was a woman of many passions. She found joy in cooking, traveling, decorating, shopping, music, dance, and she loved sharing her gifts with those around her. Whether she was making a large pan of Ramen Noodle Casserole, or Pull Pork for family and friends or helping others with encouragement or advice. Sharon embraced every experience with enthusiasm, warmth, and love.

Above all, Sharon was devoted to her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and loved ones deeply, and her home was a place filled with laughter, comfort, and welcome. Her love knew no bounds, and she took great pride in being a loyal daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is survived by her children Kathryn Brockington (Jerry), Jarrell Tolliver (Sabrina), and Clarence Tolliver Jr. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Keyanna Randle, Jaylen Tolliver, Kenedi Brockington, and Kensley Brockington. Her siblings include Jerry Ray Tillis, Carolyn Tanksley (Ricki), Juanita Filmore, Calvin Shaw, Fidencio Jackson (Pamela), Maybell Terry, Donald Baker, Kathleen Amboree (husband), and Sharon Taylor. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and the Kenmar Residential Services Family, who will forever hold her memory close.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Prince Ella Shaw, Willie Shaw, and Eddie Baker; her brothers, Gregory Tillis and Dickey Tillis; and her grandparents, Stella White and Jim White. We take comfort in knowing that those who passed before her welcomed her with open arms. Though the pain of her loss is overwhelming, we find solace in the memories she leaves behind.

Her spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.

Mireya was born on July 17, 1997, to Christine Silva -Gonzales and Stephen Gonzales. She was a beautiful blessing from the moment she arrived.

Mireya spent her early years in Taylor, Texas, where she was lovingly cared for by her great-grandparents, Epifania and Jesus Silva, Sr. They nurtured her with love and joy.

She attended and graduated from Taylor High School in 2015.

She met the love of her life, Ushiel Rosales, and they were united in marriage on February 4, 2025. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and companionship in Austin, Texas. Mireya continued to work in Austin in the restaurant industry.

Her soul was a light in this world—gentle, generous, and full of warmth. She cherished her time with her husband and family, with her beloved dog, Luna, and the simple joys that brought her delight, including her love of animals and moments spent with those she held dear.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is now rejoicing in heaven, reunited with her father, Stephen, and her grandmother, Minnie. Her spirit is free, her joy is complete, and her light continues on in eternity.

Betty Marosko

Betty “Granny” Jean Marsh Marosko, born May 26, 1938 in Annona, Texas, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2025; though if you asked her, she’d tell you she absolutely was not ready to go. In her mind, she still had trips to take, peach cobblers to cook, Christmas trees to decorate, and at least three more people to chat with at the grocery store. But her body decided otherwise, and in true, stubborn Betty fashion, she finally agreed.

Born to Pearl Vancleave Marsh and Marvin “Bill” Austin Marsh, Betty grew up with five siblings in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1957, she settled in Houston, where she lived until 1987. In this time she met her life partner, Fred Marosko, and they married on December 18, 1965 at St. Peter’s Church in Coupland, Texas. They enjoyed collecting a Swarovski crystal menagerie together and taking trips to Europe, both on cruises and tours with Fred’s German family. They were married for just shy of 60 years.

Betty was the dedicated mother of three daughters: Cheryl, Monica, and Julie. They kept her endlessly entertained and busy in the kitchen. She never missed drill team performances or any emergencies where their mom was needed. She was a youth organization leader with her daughters’ Camp Fire Girls group, and devoted herself to planning their events with her best friend, Vonnie. She enjoyed time with her daughters doing everything from picnicking to motivating them to pursue their careers. She was present for every birth and every sickness. Her daughters always knew they could count on her for a good home-cooked meal or a day of shopping.

She worked as a librarian at MD Anderson in Houston for a spell, where her charm and people skills made her many friends. Over the years, she enjoyed substitute teaching elementary school children. She was artistic, eventually turning her creativity into a small business, where she crafted and sold dough ornaments along with other unique creations.

Betty was a social butterfly. She was the life of every party and had a talent for hosting gatherings with an abundance of delicious food á la Betty. She had many friends at her exercise group and in her women’s clubs. She could talk for hours to anyone who would listen. She loved to cook, loved to travel, and especially loved to shop. She never turned down a good deal at Macy’s.

Christmas at Betty’s house was a full production. She had a 12 foot Christmas tree that she climbed to the very top of the ladder to decorate with her handmade golden topper. Her grandchildren loved spending the weekend after Thanksgiving at her house to lay out all of the reindeer and countless Santa Clauses to hide in every corner.

Betty leaves behind her loving husband Fred, three supportive daughters, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two siblings, and many long-time friends. Everyone adored her because she gave love freely and lived life with a little bit of fun in every situation. She loved receiving affection in return, especially a hug and kiss from her grandchildren.

Betty will remain in our lives with her recipes, fashionable hand-me-down clothes, and beautiful memories of her. She will be missed dearly and talked about often, just the way she would like it.

Bonnie Winters

Bonnie Sue Winters 1950 – 2025

It is with great love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Winters, age 75, of Taylor, Texas. Bonnie was born in Georgetown, Texas, and passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at 12:01 a.m. at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.

Bonnie dedicated many years of service to the State of Texas through Texas Health and Human Services – Fair and Fraud Hearings, where she worked tirelessly until her retirement. She was known for her integrity, her strong work ethic, and the compassion she carried into every aspect of her life.

A lifelong Lutheran, Bonnie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and made sure her children were too. She was a devoted and active member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Taylor, where she found community, comfort, and joy.

Bonnie was the oldest of five children, born to Arabelle Peace and Oscar Tschoerner, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister Darlene Grissom and her brother Lealean Peace, and is preceded in death by her sisters Tina Carr and Joyce Rhea.

She was the proud mother of three daughters:

-Jeni Anders and her husband Rex Anders, and their children Codi Culbertson (fiancé Ryan Fitschen), Codi’s children Cashiana Noack and Lawson Culbertson, Shelby Anders, and Ariana Anders-Tracy Roman, and her children Amber Roman and husband Brian Koenig, Olivia Winters, and William Matetzschk-Melonie Peace, and her daughter Holly Sebring and spouse Bryan Sebring, and Holly’s child Isabelle Sebring

She is also lovingly remembered by her stepdaughters, Elaine Winters and Liz Chaplin (spouse Al Chaplin). Elaine’s children—Josh Winters, Brenna Anderson, and Brandon Winters—as well as her son Donald Ray Winters, who preceded her in death, held a special place in Bonnie’s heart. Liz’s children, John Winters and Tiffany Chaplin, were also very dear to her.

Bonnie helped raise her great-nephew Trey Carr, whom she loved like a son. She grew up in Jarrell, Texas, later building her home and life in Taylor, Texas. Throughout the years, she shared her home with Tracy, Amber, Trey, William, and Olivia, creating many cherished memories. In the last year and a half of her life, she lived with Jeni, Rex, and granddaughter Shelby, where they enjoyed precious time together. Bonnie also shared a special bond with her caregiver, Courtney Gray, spending many hours watching soaps and game shows, caring for plants, and crocheting together. She also loved spending quiet moments with her children and grandchildren, often watching episodes of The Golden Girls, snuggled up with whichever child was lucky enough to be by her side at the moment.

Bonnie was the heart of her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, MoMo, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. She had a gift for making everyone feel loved. She attended every game, recital, competition, and event her children and grandchildren were involved in—always supporting them, encouraging them, and being there whenever she was needed. She had the biggest heart and did anything and everything for others.

She had a true green thumb, loved her plants and hummingbirds, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and creating beautiful homemade clothes, blankets, cakes, and gifts for her family. Bonnie also loved painting her nails cobalt blue, her favorite color. Friends and family are invited to wear cobalt blue or hummingbird-themed attire in her honor. Bonnie’s sweet tooth—and her love of Dr Pepper—were known by all who loved her. She was beautiful inside and out, and everyone who knew her felt her kindness.

A Celebration of Life for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor, Texas, with Pastor Scott Schaller officiating. Friends and family are warmly invited to join us as we gather to honor and celebrate her beautiful life. For those wishing to bring flowers, they may be delivered to the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. A meal will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Bonnie will be cremated at a later date, but her loved ones will come together to remember her kindness, her strength, and the joy she brought to everyone she knew.

Bonnie’s love, warmth, and unwavering support will continue to live on in all the hearts she imprinted on throughout her life. She will be deeply, deeply missed.

Benjamin Eric Koonce

Benjamin Eric Koonce was born on July 3, 2010 to Eric and Kelly Koonce and passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 17, 2025.

Ben was full of life and joy, and he lived each day of his 15 years to the fullest. His kind and cheerful disposition was a beacon of light in a dark world. Ben’s contagious laughter could fill a room with smiles in an instant. He had an extraordinary ability to see the good in people, allowing him to love others deeply and wholeheartedly. A natural peacemaker with a servant’s heart, Ben never hesitated to set aside what he was doing to help someone in need.

Ben was cherished by his family. He loved spending time fishing and hanging out with his mom and dad, and he shared a special bond with his twin brother, C**t, with whom he enjoyed playing video games together. Ben adored his older sister, Avery, and missed her deeply. He also treasured summers at the beach with his cousins.

A freshman at Thrall High School, Ben never let any difficulty or setback dull his spirit. He was a member of the cross-country and track teams, and his simple and kind spirit left a lasting impact on his classmates and teachers.

Most importantly, Ben loved Jesus. He had the kind of simple and sincere faith that Christ commended in Mark 10:15. It was this sincere faith that gave Ben confidence that he would one day be with Jesus and with his sister, Avery. The grace and mercy of Jesus were evident throughout Ben’s life, and God’s strength shone through in Ben’s moments of weakness.

Ben was preceded in death by his sister, Avery Grace Koonce; his paternal grandmother, Donna Koonce; and his maternal grandfather, William “Bill” Memmer.

He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Ben leaves behind his loving parents, Eric and Kelly, and his twin brother, C**t, as well as his extended family and many dear friends.

Ben’s absence leaves a hole in the hearts of all who loved him, but his light and kindness will continue to live on in their memories.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
