A lot of women tell us, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore.”
What most women aren’t told is that midlife hormone changes happen in stages, and each stage can feel very different in real life.
Here’s how it often shows up:
🟢 Before perimenopause:
Your body tends to recover more easily. You juggle work, workouts, kids, relationships, and still bounce back after a long day. Sleep feels more restorative. Stress is there, but manageable.
🟢 During perimenopause:
Things become less predictable. A working mom might feel exhausted by mid-afternoon. Workouts hit harder but give less back. Sleep gets lighter. Night sweats appear. Mood feels shorter. You’re doing the same things, but your body responds differently.
🟢 Menopause:
Energy often feels consistently lower. Weight changes despite routine. Libido and motivation may dip. Recovery, whether from workouts or busy weeks, takes longer. Life feels less chaotic, but more demanding.
🟢 Postmenopause:
Hormones settle into a new baseline. Some women notice brain fog, low energy, more frequent UTIs, or a nervous system that feels less resilient. It’s not dramatic day to day, but it’s persistent.
None of this means your body is broken. It means it’s changing.
Understanding which stage you’re in, and where your hormone levels are, helps make sense of what you’re experiencing and opens the door to the right kind of support for this phase of life.
You don’t have to guess your way through it.
