Pamela Harkey Brown, age 67, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Pamela was born March 25, 1958, in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of the late Walter Lee Harkey and Willena Little Harkey.
Pamela worked for the USPS for a number of years before retirement. She was currently employed with Window Magic of Bethlehem and was of the Lutheran faith. She loved to sew, go to the beach, spend time on the lake and watch movies. She loved her husband and children, adored her grandchildren and enjoyed her beloved dachshunds.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Cindy Harkey; a brother-in-law, Steve Derrick.
Those left to cherish and honor Pamela’s memories include: her husband of 45 years, Danny Brown; her children, Matthew Brown (Natalie) of Weddington, Trina Chapman (Brian) of Taylorsville, Mitchell Brown (Breanna) of Fletcher; her grandchildren, Madison Brown, Ainsley Brown, Wyatt Brown, Ava Chapman, Alyse Chapman, Zella Brown, Zane Brown, Zevelyn Brown; her sisters, Renee Derrick of Kernersville, Jennifer Soto of Costa Rica; her brother, Walter “Buddy” Harkey of Mint Hill; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3:45 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Josh Tucker and Pastor Andrew Miller will officiate.

Mazelle “Granny” Isenhour Bowman, age 83, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Mazelle was born August 24, 1942, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Earl Isenhour and Iretha Icenhour Isenhour.
She was a waitress at S&S Restaurant for over 35 years and a member of Life of Victory in Taylorsville. She was a kind, loving, and forgiving person that just loved people. She loved and enjoyed her family, the biggest joy of her life was the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by; a son, Michael Shay Bowman; five brothers and a sister.
Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her daughter, Iretha Leigh Bowman Malinak and her significant other, Bill Clayborne; her sons, Rodney Alton Bowman of Taylorsville, Nikki Wade Bowman and wife, Jamie, of Denver, NC; her grandchildren, Michael Pavol Malinak, Dakota Zane Bowman, Kristian Michael Marchuk, Halle Shay Bowman; her great-grandchildren, Aurora Marylee Malinak, Michael Waylon Malinak; her sisters, Theresa Setzer of Taylorsville, Melba Carrigan of Taylorsville; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:15 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Life of Victory Church in Taylorsville. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Timothy Sipe, Pastor Darren Pennell, Pastor Justin Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Friendship Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Mark Hampton Broome, age 66, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at his home.
Mark was born on November 10, 1959, in Lincoln County, NC, the son of the late Ted Broome and Judy Lovelace Broome.
Mark proudly served in the United States Army. He was of Christian faith and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.
Those left to honor and cherish his memories include: his wife, Judy Houston Broome; his daughter, Rebekah Broome; his step-daughter, Betty Eppley (Anthony); his son, Chuck Broome; his step-sons, Sam Heckman, Jimmy Heckman (Dana); one grandchild; seven step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; his sisters, Kim Scott, Catrina Roberts; his brothers, Todd Broome (B.B.), and Thad Broome.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Aileen “Ann” Garr, age 78, of Hiddenite, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Ann was born June 16, 1947, in Cleveland County, NC, the daughter of the late Fletcher Brittain and Margaret Setzer Philbeck.
Ann worked as a CNA for the Brian Center and also had worked for Shuford Mills. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed fishing, working, and taking care of people.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Farris.
Those left to cherish and honor Ann’s memories include: her husband, Dennis James Garr of the home; her daughter, Dana Garr of the home; her sons, Donald Richard and fiancé, Jessica Neal, of Lincoln County, Paul Richard; her grandchildren, Olin Gonzalez, Brianna Clark, Hannah Clark, Bentley Clark, Christopher Richard, India Beal, Corey Richard, Ricky Richard, Dillon Richard, Ashlyn Richard.

Dorothy “Dottie” Hammer, age 77, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Dottie was born September 8, 1948, in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Frank Perry and Dorothy Lackey Perry.
Dottie was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed going to the beach and mountains. She loved music, singing, and enjoyed her family very much. She loved her fury friends Marley and Maggie.
Those left to cherish and honor Dottie’s memories include: her husband of 57 years, Donald “Don” Hammer of the home; her children, Kristen Hammer (Brett Watson), Suzanne Mayberry (Todd Fulbright), John Hammer (Ashley); her grandchildren, Brittany Chapman, Ryan Hammer (Katelyn), Austin Mayberry (Mary), Jordan Roy (Katie), Payton Hammer (Cody), Braylon Fulbright, Olivia Brewer; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a great-great-grandchild; her brothers, Eddie Perry, Frank Perry (Susan); a special nephew, Terry Mangum; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Angela Reid Brown, age 63, of Hiddenite, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 14, 2025, in Alexander County.
Angela was born October 28, 1962, in Dade City, Florida, the daughter of the late Rev. Jimmy Reid and Rev. Carletta Goodwin Reid.
Angela worked for Schneider Mills for over 40 years and a member of Faith Revival Church. She loved the Lord. She was a hard-working woman that loved her grandchildren. She was a loving wife and mother.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Billings.
Those left to cherish and honor Angela’s memories include: her husband, James “Jim” Samuel Brown of the home; her sons, Derek Brown and wife, Erica Brown of Fairford, AL, Ben Brown and wife, Dakota Brown of the Wittenburg Community; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Brown, Judah Brown, Angelena Brown, Joe Brown, Ester Brown, Peyton Brown, Easton Brown; her sister, Jo McCranie and husband, Marty McCranie of FL; her brother, Rick Reid and wife, Robin Reid of Taylorsville; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Colleen Biauce, age 67, of Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at her home.
Colleen was born July 3, 1958, in Millville, NJ, the daughter of the late Virgil Snyder and F***y Gandy Snyder.
Colleen worked for Duran Glass in New Jersey and later became a bus driver for Shepherd Bus Company. She was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord. She loved the countryside, mountains and Gods scenery, and collecting antiques. She enjoyed her family, especially the grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings.
Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her daughters, Amanda Rivera (Chris) of NJ, Danielle Hannah of NJ; her sons, Keith A. Hannah, Jr. (Virginia) of NJ, Dennis Hannah (Sandi) of NC; her grandchildren, Dolly Hannah of NJ, Brianna Sapp, Skylar Sapp of NC, Adriana Hannah of NC, Adriana and Briella of NJ; nine siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sherika Danielle Howell, age 46, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Sherika was born on September 9, 1979 to Karen Howell.
Sherika is a 1997 graduate of Alexander Central High School and attended Gardner Webb University. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her Godson, singing and competing in pageants. She held the title of Junior Miss, Teen Miss Alexander County and Ms. Ebony as well as other titles. During her reign as Teen Miss Alexander County, Sherika organized the first SAVE Club (Students Against Violence Everywhere) in Alexander County and won National honors. She was the youngest person and the first African American to receive the Governor’s Award.
Sherika accepted Christ at an early age and served as the director of the youth Choir.
Sherika is preceded in death by her grandparents James Robert Howell and Henrietta Howell. Great grandparents Harold and Eliza Moser, Ruby Mae Howell, and best friend/sister Misty Crane Lackey.
Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Karen Howell. Special sisters, Alisha Lackey, Lavonda Lineberger, Tausha Dagenhart, Sonja Lipford, Tomeka Lipford and her Godson Josh Brown who was the love of her life; Godparents, Elijah and Althea Tillman of Charlotte.
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Roy Brown and Rev. Mark Sharpe Officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from Noon until 1 p.m. prior to the service.
The body will lie in state on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Bruce Wayne Meadows, age 72, of Hiddenite, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Bruce was born October 16, 1953, in Iredell County, the son of the late Wayne Meadows and Ella Cook Meadows.
Bruce built swimming pools and loved to go deer hunting, fishing, and enjoyed shooting his guns. He loved his daughter and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish and honor Bruce’s memories include: his daughter, Crystal Dyson and husband, Tracy, of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Dawson Dyson and Logan Dyson both of Taylorsville; his brother, David Meadows and wife, Vivian, of Blowing Rock; his sisters, Tina Benfield and husband, Forrest “Skip” Skidmore of Statesville, Bonnie Hanson of Potosi, MO; six nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews; three great-great-nieces and nephews; and the mother of his child, Pamela Gail Keller.

Charles Lee Ferguson, age 68, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at his home.
Charles was born January 6, 1957, in Maryland, the son of the late Clifford Chapman Ferguson and Dorothy Irene Chandler Ferguson.
Charles worked in the construction industry and was of the Christian faith. He loved his puppy “Baby Boy” which he got at 6 weeks old now 2 years old. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering with cars. Charles also was a truck driver and traveled the United States. He was a good-hearted man, not selfish and a man of few words, he was kind and had a unique sense of humor.
Loved ones left to cherish and honor his memories include: his sisters, Reba Ferguson Pennell, Debbie Messer (Jim), JoAnn Bean all of Taylorsville; his brother, Alan Ferguson (Teri) of VA; and a number of nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Brown will officiate.

Walter Craig Childers, 73, of Taylorsville, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on July 23, 1952, to the late Walter Columbus Childers Jr. and Nancy Huitt Childers.
He was a graduate of Taylorsville High School. Craig spent his life rooted in the land he loved. From an early age, he found joy and purpose in farming – raising livestock and watching each season’s work bloom into harvest. In his early years, he worked for FCX, then later at Walmart.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: one sister, Cynthia Warren; his wife and the mother of his children, Brenda Childers.
Loved ones left to cherish his memory include: his daughter, Amanda Childers of Taylorsville; his son, Curtis Childers, and fiancé, Whitney Harrington of Taylorsville; a special grandson, Cole Childers, of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Chloe, Emery, Adley, and Gabe all of Taylorsville; a godson, Matthew Marin and family of Conover; a brother Jerry Childers and wife, Patti, of Clemmons; a special brother-in-law, Owen Icenhour, and companion, Libby Call; a brother-in-law, Gary Warren; and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Sandra Warren, who was always there when needed.
The family will conduct a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 4 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Pastor Oscar Shepherd will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service.
