Ready for the holidays! 19 participants learned how to make easy and healthy appetizers for entertaining during the Holiday Cooking Class at TMH with the University of Illinois Extension. The class featured hands-on practice with new recipes, healthy substitutions, taste-testing plus recipes to take home. Stay tuned for info on our 2026 cooking classes!

A heartfelt thanks to all the vendors, volunteers & partners who helped make the Senior Day Out at Christian County YMCA such a success! More than 100 attendees took advantage of free health screenings, connected with local health resources, played bingo for prizes and enjoyed lunch.

Look what pennies can do! Our TMH colleagues spent September in a friendly “Penny Wars” competition and raised $785.35 for the CUPS grants fund, which helps provide mammography assistance for women who are underinsured or without insurance. Fun fact: since 2011, Cups fund grants have provided more than $70,000 to eligible patients!

Thanks for the invite! Several of our colleagues attended the Grain & Protein Technologies Employee Health Fair and connected with more than 500 employees. This was a great opportunity to provide blood pressure checks, smoking cessation resources, grip strength assessments and balance tests.
