A Bright Spot Patient is someone who overcomes obstacles and achieves meaningful health goals. Today, we are proud to celebrate Judy Weidler!

For years, severe hip pain kept Judy from doing what she loves most: playing softball, CrossFit training, running, bowling, and even sleeping comfortably. But she wasn’t ready to slow down. She was ready for relief.

With the expert care of Corey P. Rothrock, MD, Judy underwent a total hip replacement and set her sights on getting back to her active, joy-filled lifestyle.

Thanks to her determination — and the incredible support from Sandy, LPN, Allison West, PA-C, Brittany, RN, Erica, and her physical therapist Shannon — she did exactly that.

Today, Judy is back to CrossFit, softball, lifting her grandkids, and every activity she loves. And she didn’t stop there.

In August, just eight months post-op, Judy stepped onto the national stage and won a powerlifting competition at the National Senior Games 2025, an event with thousands of athletes from across the country.

Judy’s journey is a powerful reminder of what’s possible with expert care, teamwork, and an unstoppable spirit.

A Bright Spot Patient is someone who overcomes obstacles and achieves meaningful health goals. Today, we are proud to celebrate not one, but two incredible Bright Spots: Deanna and John Wilber!

Deanna turned to David B. Jones Jr., MD for a thumb joint replacement after previously trusting Timothy L. Walker, MD and Jason L. Hurd, MD with hand, knee, and hip surgeries. Her goal was clear — to get back on the golf course and enjoy the active life she loves.

John came to OI with a trigger finger injury that was keeping him from golfing and working comfortably. With the same dedication and partnership, he worked closely with Dr. Jones, Dr. Hurd, Dr. Walker, and Emily to regain his strength and mobility.

Their words say it best:

Deanna shared, “It has always been an awesome experience… easy to talk to, always attentive, they give you a voice in your treatment.”

John added, “I have had numerous orthopedic treatments and surgeries. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Jones, Dr. Hurd, Dr. Walker, and Emily… we love this place!”
