Holy Name

Holy Name Since 1925- we have provided families of northern New Jersey with compassionate medical care. Founded and sponsored in 1925 by the Sisters of St.
(1000)

For over 85 years, Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ has provided the communities and families of northern New Jersey with compassionate medical and nursing care, continued technological advances, and an environment of healing dedicated to the needs of each individual patient. This complete level of health care excellence is not only what our patients rely upon; it's the very foundation in which we pride ourselves. Joseph of Peace, Holy Name Medical Center has evolved into a comprehensive 361- bed acute care medical center, yet we still recall our community Medical Center roots by demonstrating a level of personalized care lost in many of today's long and short term medical care facilities.

Breathe in, breathe out… and relax. Expecting moms at Holy Name’s BirthPlace now have access to nitrous oxide (laughing gas) as a new option for managing pain and anxiety during labor. It provides gentle relief while allowing moms to stay mobile, alert, and engaged in their birthing experience — giving more comfort and control every step of the way. And if they choose, moms can still receive an epidural later on.

Another way we’re making childbirth more supportive, personalized, and centered around expecting moms.

Congratulations to Alyssa, our recent DAISY Award recipient! 🌼

Her compassion, expertise, and commitment to every patient reflect the true spirit of nursing at Holy Name.

What made this recognition even more special, her mom, also a Holy Name nurse, proudly pinned her with the DAISY pin. 💚

Binnie loves staying active, but for years she lived with heavy periods and painful cramps, thinking they were just part of life. They were actually fibroids, and they were affecting her health and daily activities.

If your periods are affecting your daily life, get checked. Relief is possible, and it can change everything.

When William’s bloodwork showed he was at risk for diabetes, on top of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and a family history of heart disease, his cardiologist, Dr. Jaffar Raza, recommended Holy Name’s new AI-powered heart scan called the Photon-Counting CT scan.

This advanced scan gives our experts an incredibly detailed look at your heart, including tiny blood vessels and dangerous plaque buildup in your arteries.

Thanks to the scan, William learned his arteries are clear and healthy ❤️
