Some connections come full circle.

While volunteering at a local animal shelter, Monika met Dr. Kim Clarkin, a breast imaging radiologist at Holy Name—never imagining she’d one day call her for help.

After a colonoscopy revealed a tumor, Monika reached out to Dr. Clarkin, who connected her to Holy Name’s Cancer Center. There, she met with a team of oncologists, including colorectal surgeon Dr. Hima Ghanta, who created a treatment plan tailored to her.

Today, Monika is in remission and sharing her story to remind others—especially younger adults—not to ignore changes. If something feels off, get it checked. 💙
